Black-Arts Fierce Battle
As Mike stood in shock, the darkness Lincoln had become suddenly seemed to gain a life of its own. No longer expanding silently, it lunged at Mike with bared claws.
Mike hurriedly dodged, using the agility granted by the "Burst" Mystery to evade every attack from the darkness.
Teresia watched with a grave expression. Half speculating, half certain, he said to Orf, Hela, and the others, "My view differs from Lord Valeria and the others. A Paragon's use of the Laws is clearly different from an Asura's. If I had to describe it in one word, a Paragon's use of the Laws has more life to it. I wouldn't say that having little 'life' means someone isn't a Paragon, but those with a strong sense of it almost always are."
Vivian nodded lightly, still watching the battle with complete focus. Uterede said, "I agree with Teresia."
Orf smiled. "You're all overthinking it. We can already be fairly certain Lincoln is a Paragon. He fought Mike just now without using his Sovereign Artifact Body, yet he held his own and even gained a slight advantage. Only a Paragon could do that."
At Orf's conclusion, the Sovereigns began discussing it among themselves. Public conversations rose and fell, while those speaking by Divine Sense were just as astonished. After all, the emergence of another Paragon in the world was a momentous event, whether he was a Sovereign or a Highgod.
"I've heard Lincoln also has Wind, Light, and Water Divine Clones. Could he have refined more than one Sovereign Spark?" asked Tartarus, a Darkness Low-Sovereign. But he immediately shook his head. A quick sweep of his Divine Sense showed that every Wind, Light, and Water Sovereign was already present.
The other Sovereigns also counted those of the three elements, and
