As dawn faded, the bright moon peeked out.
Anna and Angie's little faces were scrunched up like bitter gourds.
The two little troublemaking demons had finally escaped the Princess Consort's clutches under the pretext of attending school. Naturally, they had been having the time of their lives. Over the past four months, they could probably count on one hand the number of times they had thought of their mother.
They had long arranged to spend Christmas night throwing a wild party with their fellow students, drinking until they dropped. Yet before they could even set out, Dark had caught them, and their plans had died halfway through.
"Dark, Dark, can I not go?"
"No."
"Dark, Dark, my stomach hurts. I want to visit the infirmary."
"No."
"Dark, Dark, I'll kiss you!"
"Invalid."
"Dark, Dark, why aren't you dead yet?"
"Early to bed and early to rise makes for good health."
"Damn it!"
"Shut up!"
"Wah..."
"Brother, good thing Anna and Angie are drawing all the attention."
Joey walked beside Jon with some relief, glancing at the two little princesses from time to time.
But Jon suddenly blurted out, "Sis, how many of your math exercises have you finished?"
Joey froze and glared at Jon. "The weather is nice tonight."
Jon gave an awkward laugh, knowing he should let the matter drop and not mention it again. But when his gaze shifted to Dark, an idea suddenly struck him, and he blurted out again, "Sis, do you think Dark will still be a math teaching assistant next semester?"
Through gritted teeth, Joey said, "Definitely not. I asked Professor Melno about it."
"Oh." Jon suddenly let out a huge sigh of relief, feeling as though even the night sky above had brightened. "Then we don't have to do the problem sets
