His abilities in every respect were likely to undergo another explosive surge in the near future.
He had to stay vigilant!
That was right—if this kind of explosive growth happened to anyone else, they would surely be overjoyed.
But for Dark Demon, it was not necessarily an entirely good thing.
The long-overdue increase in "Bliss" under Diana's influence was an ominous sign.
He had always restrained himself, but as his analysis and mastery of the "Great Sins" gradually deepened, he had begun to slacken somewhat.
Fortunately, he had realized it in time. If he strengthened his self-restraint from here on, it should not lead to overly serious consequences.
Under circumstances where restraint was necessary, such explosive growth in ability naturally gave him the feeling that a train was about to derail, that things were slipping beyond his control.
At a time like this, he needed to hit the brakes. But what worried him now was that the brakes might fail.
"Dark."
The sudden call by his ear made Dark Demon raise his head. He glanced toward the teachers' table, told Diana and Rose that he had something to take care of, and then left his seat.
A while later, he left the Banquet Hall through the back of the teachers' table and entered a small room meant for resting.
Principal Arte was still chatting merrily with Caleb Norris, Charles Clarissa, Lucia Artemis, and the others.
The only one seated in the small room was Vice Principal Sarah Sylph. "Sit."
Holding a goblet, Professor Sylph spoke with an indifferent expression.
The goblet contained grape juice that tasted like red wine.
Dark could not help but smile. "Professor, you're not drinking?"
Professor Sylph rolled her eyes at him. "Let's talk business. This 'gift of the gods' you mentioned—what exactly can it bring?"
