The overall haul was slightly lower than yesterday's, but it was still quite abundant.
After all, aside from the books, all of the loot possessed divine auras and could be considered divine artifacts.
Only the Holy Church preserved a large number of such divine artifacts. Other factions basically had none.
To obtain so many divine artifacts in just a single day of exploration was something they would not even have dared dream of in the past.
After obtaining the loot, Dark and the others first examined the "Oracle Pearls" and the "Beast of Life: Sparks."
The divine word effects within the "Oracle Pearls" largely overlapped with those obtained yesterday, and the "Beast of Life: Sparks" had not changed much either.
In total, they now had eighteen "Oracle Pearls" and five "Beast of Life: Sparks."
The "Oracle Pearl" taken from the Temple yesterday had shown no signs of collapsing so far.
However, the white radiance it emitted had noticeably weakened and was close to disappearing. Professor Kazel concluded that the reason it emitted white light differed from that of ordinary Temple items.
It had not been corrupted by the "virus."
The reason it had glowed within the Temple seemed to be simply because it had been steeped in the Temple's environment for too long, becoming stained with a layer of "white light," much like something soaked in paint.
As for the two books taken from the Temple, they showed no signs yet. But sometimes, the absence of signs was itself a sign.
Professor Kazel concluded that those books were like ordinary Temple items: they were "living things."
