The story was basically that the previous generation's "Hero" sacrificed himself in order to completely destroy the Demon King, partially fusing his own soul with the Demon King's soul and weakening its power to the extreme. However, he himself fell into slumber until Victor Gaude awakened him with the Holy Sword during his battle against the Demon King.
Afterward, the remnant soul of the previous "Hero," Bright Gaude, joined forces with the power of Victor Gaude's Holy Sword to dissolve the soul of the "Undying Demon King." Bright Gaude, meanwhile, gradually faded away alongside the Demon King's soul.
The final scene imprinted within the projection was set as Bright Gaude's smile.
It ended with tears falling.
All the settings and character models for this entire script were already available. It basically just adapted Dark's experiences in Dark Crystal Cave.
Finally, in accordance with the "investors'" demands, they removed as much of Charles's footage as possible, retaining only the scene of the Demon King's soul emerging from his body to show that Charles's previous actions had all been caused by the Demon King's control.
That was the script in short. The process was open to interpretation, but the outcome had to be fixed. Once Dark completed the projection, he handed it to the professors for inspection. First, the viewpoint had to be locked on, essentially as though a camera had been mounted on Charles's face.
After the Demon King's soul emerged from Charles's body, it would shift to a third-person perspective with Charles as the camera.
Basically, they needed to create the impression that this projection was a memory extracted directly from Charles's mind.
If there were any continuity errors, they would simply blur them out. After all, fuzzy memories were perfectly normal, weren't they?
