Ever since Trash Slime had half-awakened its intelligence, Dark no longer used it as a garbage disposal.
Likewise, he no longer used it as a face mask.
But now that he thought about it, that had instead made it somewhat lonely.
"Is that so..." Dark muttered.
He felt that using Trash Slime whenever he needed it was disrespectful.
But from Trash Slime's perspective, it apparently did not see it that way.
To Trash Slime, that seemed to be nothing more than an ordinary act of eating.
And it could put itself to use in the process!
"Handling garbage is one thing, but I can keep using it as a face mask."
After thinking it over carefully, Dark realized that sometimes, he really had not properly considered what the Magic Spirits thought.
Perhaps that was something he needed to reflect upon.
He let out a small breath and took Trash Slime's note from the box.
This note had also been folded several times. Once unfolded, it revealed a line of crooked handwriting:
[Master Mama, I love you too!]
"Ditto definitely wrote this for it, didn't it?"
Dark smiled helplessly. After slipping the note into his notebook as well, he reached for the Valentine's Day gift from the last Magic Spirit.
"Only Gatomon's is left."
What he picked up was a square gift box wrapped in pure white, with a pink ribbon tied into a bow on top.
He untied the bow and opened the box, revealing the chocolates inside.
There were four biscuit-shaped chocolates in total—
One large and three small.
The large chocolate biscuit lay underneath, while the smaller ones rested on top.
Yet all four chocolate biscuits had exactly the same design, each etched with a lifelike cat face. At a glance, one could tell it was Gatomon!
Clearly,
