Emma continued observing the stone, then summoned her [Magic Phantom Beast: Otter] and instructed it, "Go. See if there's any danger."
The Otter raised its nose and sniffed, then dropped onto all fours and trotted toward the half-human-height stone.
When it approached the stone, it suddenly stopped, squeaked twice, then shuffled two steps forward and poked the stone with its tiny paw.
Seeing that the stone did not react at all, it became a little bolder and slapped it hard twice with its paw.
The stone still showed no reaction.
So, under Emma's command, the Otter moved to the front of the round stone and gave the crack a fierce kick!
At that kick, the red light seeping out from the crack visibly trembled.
"It's alive!" Emma said with certainty.
"There are many monsters like this in Dungeons. They disguise themselves as harmless creatures or objects to lure people closer, then suddenly launch a sneak attack. This stone can even emit a light that confuses people. It's most likely that type."
Victor and Robert both listened carefully.
