After leaving the room, Dark did not go far. He simply stopped by the doorway and touched the corner of his eye.
His fingertip came away slightly damp.
He probably had not wiped them dry before leaving.
The corners of his eyes were a little red.
It was probably because he had gotten up at three in the morning.
"Misdreavus—"
Dark swatted back the little Misdreavus that had poked half its head out through the doorway, then strode toward the stairs.
It was rare for him to visit the Cafeteria in the morning. If he did not add some [Gluttony], how could he face himself?
The Halfling chefs were all surprised to see him.
After greeting them, he went to the counter and ordered a steak, a fried egg, two slices of bread, a glass of milk, and two sausages.
As the slightly plump Halfling auntie handed him the tray piled with food, she made a gesture. "Wait a moment."
With a trace of confusion, Dark put his raised foot back down.
Before long, the Halfling auntie took out a copy of the Great Sage Daily, rolled it up, and placed it beside his tray.
Dark stared blankly for a moment before hurriedly saying, "Thank you, Auntie!"
"No need to be so polite." The Halfling auntie smiled kindly. "Happy Valentine's Day."
Dark found a seat in a corner of the Cafeteria, spread the Great Sage Daily open beside his plate, and read while he ate, as was his habit.
It was not exactly proper etiquette.
But what did that matter?
Once enough people did it, it would become etiquette.
