If Hawlucha had not been guiding him from overhead, he would probably have gotten briefly lost like Andrina. Not only had he not gotten lost, he had quickly found Andrina—she was sprinting wildly toward the exit!
Andrina was not happy to see Dark. She clutched three Magitech Cards in her right hand, but the Magic Spirits summoned from them had been devoured in the blink of an eye by the monster pursuing her! At a glance, it resembled a glowing white deer, even giving off an aura of holy radiance. When Andrina's Magic Spirits had charged at it earlier, countless extremely long tentacles had suddenly shot out from the monster's true body. In the blink of an eye, they had vanished into those glowing tentacles.
When the tentacles loosened, all that remained of the Magic Spirit was a trace of magical residue.
Thinking of the "sea of light" he had seen outside the dense forest, Dark immediately formed a guess.
"Could it be Ghost Butterflies? Magical creatures that dwell within leaves, said in legend to be divided from the souls of the dead, known as 'white glowing ghosts.'
Proof that the deceased had been kind in life. In other words, they should not have been dangerous.
"Is my understanding too shallow, or is the current situation caused by some trait unique to the Ghost Butterflies in this forest?"
As Dark pondered, he slowed his pace. His curiosity toward the Ghost Butterflies outweighed his concern for Andrina. Looking faintly excited, he raised a hand and gave Andrina an "OK" sign with his back to her, telling her to leave without worry. Though she had not had much contact with Dark Demon, Dark always easily became the center of conversation among girls, so Andrina knew unexpectedly much about his character. Sometimes gentle,
