Vina is a princess of the Heaven Dou Empire and a disciple of the Body Sect, the empire's protector sect. The royal family provides the sect with resources, medicinal herbs, and financial support in exchange for its protection; Vina explains that her position within the sect also connects Ning Feng to the empire's network and resources 5 11 14.

She first meets Ning Feng in the Star Dou Great Forest after he saves her group from a berserk thousand-year soul beast. Immediately intrigued by his mutated Three Heads and Six Arms Body Martial Soul, she introduces herself, learns that he intends to join the Body Sect, and offers to guide him there 4 5.
