Catolf tournaments would be traditional team competitions: teams of three cats, accompanied by three witch assistants. The witch assistants would maintain the Cat Lamps, inject magic power to convert leyline energy, and let the Cat Lamps use their abilities for extended periods. They would also be responsible for meals and driving them around.
The tournament would be held across interwoven courses between a fairly vast stretch of ring-shaped Sky Islands. The courses were long, and if the Cat Lamps drifted along slowly on their own, they would expend a great deal of stamina.
That was why the witches would handle transportation, leaving the Cat Lamps to devote their precious stamina to the course itself.
A competition as popular as Catolf could occasionally rival the witch matches at the Slacker Arena in viewership. Naturally, it fell short most of the time, but it was still a decent event.
The luxurious leisure tournament, also known as the [Witch Invitational Deciding Tournament], was especially so. Much like an elite social circle, it was a program through which ordinary witches could learn about high-ranking witches and high-ranking rare Cat Lamps.
