Beep, beep, beep—
An alarm voiced by Witch True Person rang out. At the same time...
"Meow-ow-ow-ow!"
"Cluck-cluck-cluck!"
"Wurble-gwah-la!"
All manner of alarm sounds went off in an instant—screaming chickens, murloc dolls, and living crowing cat lamps!
In an instant, every Witch in the entire Griffin Carriage was awakened by the racket.
Jiang Han covered her mouth, stretched, and sat up.
She glanced at Ovi beside her, who had opened her eyes only to immediately fall asleep again, then helplessly shook her head. Longsleep Meow had said herself that she would get up at noon to tee off, yet the moment she got up, she closed her eyes again.
She looked toward the other end of the mattress. Eileen was lazily yawning in that cat-like crouching posture. The wealthy little girl's body temperature ran high, so cat lamps were sprawled over her head, stomach, and thighs, sleeping soundly. There was also a kind called Carbon-Melting Cat Lamp—tiny things, no bigger than thumbs—sleeping sweetly beneath Eileen's long hair as though it were a blanket.
Weren't these cats a little too comfortable?
This was only Little Eileen. If it were Big Eileen, even more cat lamps would have crowded around her. When those little cat balls tucked away their claws, they really did look incredibly round.
Thinking of what Big Eileen looked like, Jiang Han could not help finding it amusing.
"...Uwah... good afternoon."
The referee Witch forced herself upright, glanced at the timer, and, still dutifully at her post, took out her walkie-talkie to communicate with her colleagues. As she spoke, she waved in their direction.
The referee cat lamp was sprawled atop the referee Witch's head, sleeping soundly. Not even the alarms could wake her.
What a cat that simply drifted with the current.
Jiang Han patted her face.
