The class parted ways on bad terms.

Some followed to persuade Yi Chen, while others stayed behind to comfort Kushida.

Kushida's inner thoughts:

Yi Chen refused Airi.

After Yi Chen finished discussing things with them, the group headed back.

This cave was located at roughly the bottom center of the Uninhabited Island.

It was also quite a distance from the Cruise Ship.

Yi Chen felt at ease and decided to stay here for now.

Afterward, he went around looking for branches and sticks.

He also gathered some banana leaves to make a simple bed.

This was to prevent his body from having issues due to the temperature difference.

Yi Chen found a good branch and stripped it from the tree.

He peeled off the bark and twisted the inner core into a rope.

Soon, Yi Chen found some more wood.

Yi Chen took the rope he had just made, tied it to the wood, and began to drill for fire.

However, after a long time, there was no result.

Yi Chen opened his backpack to check.

This backpack contained the toiletries and daily necessities that everyone received upon disembarking.

Yi Chen opened it and, sure enough, there were tissues inside.

Tissues were much easier to ignite than wood.

After spending some time, he successfully started a fire.

The sky was gradually turning dark.

Yi Chen went out to look for food, and relying on the survival knowledge of Bear Grylls, he picked some wild fruits.

He also set up some simple traps in preparation to catch small animals.

Yi Chen took some items out of his bag and fashioned a tube.

Then, he found a banana tree and used the tube to start drawing out water to drink.

There was only one cup in his bag, and it couldn't be used to store water.

Yi Chen didn't mind; he just treated it as a complete, from-scratch survival challenge on a deserted island.

After drinking his fill, Yi Chen first brought back some tree fruits and placed them on the extra banana leaves.

Once finished, Yi Chen felt it wasn't enough.

He ran to the beach again, picked up a rock, climbed a tree, and knocked down two coconuts.

He returned to the cave.

At night, he took shelter in the cave, sitting by the campfire, enjoying everything he had accomplished.

The troubles he encountered today were briefly forgotten by the scorching campfire.

Over on Airi's side, it felt like a scene from a palace intrigue drama.

Sudo's group.

Oda's group.

Karuizawa's group.

And some people who didn't really care.

Although everyone was cooperating, Yi Chen's departure had made the atmosphere awkward.

In the forest, a man was still sprinting.

Soon, this man also traversed the winding mountain path and arrived at Yi Chen's location.

The newcomer looked at the campfire burning inside the cave and approached it full of anticipation.

Yi Chen was enjoying the warmth of the fire when he heard a sound and opened his eyes.

"Koenji?"

Yi Chen asked in confusion.

Koenji greeted him enthusiastically:

"Hello, funny boy."

After speaking, Koenji sat down on Yi Chen's makeshift bed to warm himself by the fire.

Yi Chen looked at Koenji with a face full of disgust.

Yi Chen said indifferently:

"Koenji, why did you come here?"

Koenji brushed back his bangs.

Koenji smiled nonchalantly:

"Funny boy, this island has no novelty left for me."

"But you, boy, are very interesting."

"Boy, I'm planning to get on the ship. Do you want to come along? That way, we can keep each other company."

Yi Chen looked at Koenji's serious expression.

He said indifferently:

"If you want to go back, go ahead. I still have things to do."

Then, Koenji stood up and wanted to shake hands with Yi Chen.

Yi Chen didn't know what he was up to, but he didn't care.

Koenji gripped Yi Chen's hand tightly, testing his strength.

Yi Chen didn't back down either.
