Soul Beasts are a non-human race whose cultivation can produce extraordinarily powerful individuals. Their society includes sea soul beasts, plant-type soul beasts, and powerful land-based beasts, with the Beast God Di Tian recognized as the strongest soul beast on the surface and ruler of the land-based Soul Beasts 4 68.

Their relationship with human Soul Masters is defined by conflict and exploitation. Soul Beasts may be hunted for Soul Rings and Soul Bones; the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King is explicitly fated to become both after refusing to submit to the Sea God 2.
