Once everything had settled down, Ye Chen lowered his gaze to the black ring watch on his wrist.
Only ten minutes had passed since he launched his attack on the Clown.
He wondered how Oko's side was doing.
With that thought, Ye Chen reached for the communicator by his ear, only to find that it had long since vanished. It seemed to have been lost during the earlier battle—or perhaps decomposed.

After seeing Ye Chen covered in cuts yet still wearing a calm expression, Oko was the first to notify the teammates on the other end of the communicator. Then, her expression finally at ease, she softly murmured to Ye Chen:
"Thank goodness. You never answered us on the channel... I was really afraid something had happened to you."
Hearing Oko's relieved words, Ye Chen's eyes froze slightly, ripples immediately spreading through his heart. However, he did not tell her that he had nearly become someone else forever just moments ago. He merely gave a wry smile and slowly nodded.
"Sorry. My communicator broke."
As his words fell, Ye Chen swept his gaze over Oko and saw dried blood staining her limbs. Beneath her black clothes, he could also see several freshly scabbed wounds
