Spirit Hall's Golden Generation, Hu Liena's Simp, Yan
Bibi Dong slowly closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her eyes were as still as a deep pool.
She couldn't speak, much less let slip anything at this moment.
She needed to see these two newcomers more clearly, to ascertain their backgrounds and the storm they would stir up.
Her thoughts coincided with those of the others; they observed secretly, waiting for the right opportunity to act.
Spirit City, Spirit Hall Advanced Soul Master Academy.
The Training Ground was bathed in the morning light, and the bluestone ground reflected a thin layer of pale golden light.
The wooden stakes and targets cast neat silhouettes along the edge of the field.
The crisp sound of metal clashing mingled with the muffled thunder of Soul Power exploding.
Hu Liena swung her arm and executed a perfect arc, her movements still fluid and graceful.
But as a core member of the Spirit Hall Golden Generation, his usual sharp and assertive edge seemed to have been stripped away by seven-tenths today.
A light blue tinge appeared under her eyes.
I couldn't sleep a wink all night, all thanks to that Chat Group Light Screen that suddenly appeared in my mind.
From last night until now, she has tried every means to conceal and drive it away.
But the thing remained motionless, stubbornly suspended in her consciousness.
It didn't hurt or itch, but it felt like an invisible pair of eyes were constantly glued to the back of her neck, making her very uncomfortable.
What made her want to grind her teeth even more was that nickname.
Little White-Eyed Wolf!
What a terrible name!
She tried to modify it repeatedly, but the system's cold, unchanging prompt remained the same: insufficient permission.
These four words completely confirmed her judgment: someone was causing trouble behind the scenes.
"Nana."
A low, gentle call came from beside me.
Hu Liena turned her head away, and Xie Yue, having already put down his training weapon, walked a few steps to her side.
The Captain of the Spirit Hall Team had his silver hair neatly tied back, his face handsome, and his brows exuding a gentle and calm demeanor.
He wasn't wearing training armor; a black, form-fitting training suit outlined his smooth muscle lines, and dark damp patches of sweat stained his collar.
"Nana, something's not right with your training."
Xie Yue lowered her voice to a very low hue, "Is something on your mind, or are you feeling unwell?"
Hu Liena snapped out of her daze, gave her brother a perfunctory smile, and shook her head. "It's nothing, brother, I just didn't sleep well last night."
She was telling the truth.
I definitely didn't sleep well.
To be precise, I barely slept at all.
Xie Yue scrutinized the forced smile on his sister's face, a shallow frown forming between his brows.
He clearly didn't believe that explanation.
Who knows his own sister better than him?
Just as he was about to press for more information, a figure rushed over in a great hurry.
Yan practically ran to Hu Liena.
He carefully held a small white porcelain bowl in both hands, the dark brown liquid inside swaying gently, and a strong smell of Chinese medicine wafted into his nostrils.
"Nana! You look pale today, so I specially asked my father for some tonic medicine to replenish your energy and calm your mind. Drink it while it's hot!"
Yan's full head of red hair was a mess from running, and a few beads of sweat hung on his forehead.
The eagerness in his gaze toward Hu Liena was completely undisguised, almost overflowing.
He noticed Hu Liena's condition from afar, so he ran over and got her this bowl of medicinal soup.
His actions went unnoticed by others.
After all, everyone knows that Yan, being a member of the same Golden Generation, is Hu Liena's ultimate admirer.
"..."
Hu Liena was so overwhelmed by the smell of the medicine that she took a half step back, pinched her nose, and frowned, "Yan, move it further away, this smell is too strong."
"Good medicine tastes bitter!"
Instead of backing down, Yan took another step forward, almost bringing the porcelain bowl to her lips.
"This was personally prepared by my father, containing over a dozen rare medicinal herbs. It has a remarkable effect on your recovery..."
"I said, go further away!"
Hu Liena raised her eyebrows and waved her hand several times in disgust.
She turned and left.
Yan persevered and continued to push forward, repeatedly muttering, "It really works," and "Try it and you'll know."
"Well."
Xie Yue sighed, reached out and grabbed Yan's shoulder, the force just right to pin him to the spot.
"Yan."
Yan turned his head away.
"Nana isn't feeling well, let her have some peace and quiet."
Xie Yue's tone was gentle yet weighty, a helpless smile playing on his lips.
"Come on, spar with me for a bit."
Yan opened his mouth, wanting to argue, but met Xie Yue's unyielding gaze, and swallowed his words back.
He glanced at Hu Liena again, then, holding the medicine bowl, followed Xie Yue to the center of the Training Ground, turning back every few steps.
Hu Liena felt as if she had been granted a pardon and immediately ran away.
She strode across the training area and headed straight for the pavilion area at the back of the Academy.
The Spirit Hall Advanced Soul Master Academy covers a vast area, including extensive training facilities and gardens specifically for students to relax.
Hu Liena walked briskly along a cobblestone path and came to a hexagonal pavilion.
The pavilion is built next to an artificial pond.
The pool water was crystal clear.
A few koi fish swam lazily among the water lily leaves.
The pavilion contains a stone table and stone benches, with a chessboard pattern carved on the tabletop.
Hu Liena plopped down on the stone bench and exhaled a heavy breath.
She was truly at her wit's end dealing with Yan, this guy who was always trying to win her over but getting no response.
Rubbing his temples.
I was just about to close my eyes and rest for a moment.
Suddenly, a new message notification popped up on the Light Screen of the Chat Group in my mind.
Hu Liena glanced at it casually, then her pupils suddenly contracted.
[Daddy Douluo]: Little White-Eyed Wolf Bo Saixi, may I ask who you are?
[Daddy Douluo]: The two nicknames look unfamiliar; they don't seem to be old members of the group. How did they suddenly join?
I've been called out!
Hu Liena's muscles tensed to their limit in an instant.
Is this "Daddy Douluo" the group owner?
Now, this person has come directly to her.
And judging from his questions—he didn't know how she got in either.
Hu Liena squinted, staring intently at the few lines of text on the Light Screen.
Anger and suspicion surged within him, intertwining wildly.
"He says he doesn't know? He's putting on a flawless act."
This thing appeared out of nowhere in her mind, and her nickname was forcibly changed to such an insulting word. She struggled all night but couldn't get rid of it.
The only person capable of doing this is either a powerful being with unfathomable Soul Power toying with her, or some kind of bizarre Soul Skill she has never heard of before.
Now the person who started this is asking her who she is.
"Oh."
Hu Liena sneered and began to retaliate without any politeness.
[Little White-Eyed Wolf]: You're asking me? I'd rather ask you. Who exactly are you? And what kind of junk is this? Why are these words popping into my head?
[Little White-Eyed Wolf]: Also, what's with this awful, disgusting name, "Little White-Eyed Wolf"? I've tried changing it, but I can't! Are you playing a trick on me behind my back?
Three messages bombarded the media in quick succession, each word brimming with undisguised anger and accusations.
