Background / History
Yun Ming was a member of a previous generation of the Shrek Seven Devils and retains a close bond with their former captain, Cao Dezhi. Though both later became major figures in separate spheres, Yun Ming still addresses Cao as “Captain.” 107
Before the events surrounding Wang Chuan, Yun Ming had already established his fearsome reputation by entering Ming Capital alone, defeating more than a dozen Federation powerhouses, and forcing the Federation to concede. 146
He became the Sea God Pavilion Master and was regarded as the strongest powerhouse on the Douluo Continent. His standing, personal strength, and responsibility for Shrek Academy made him a central figure in conflicts involving the Spirit Pagoda, the Federation, the Blood God Legion, and the invading Demon Plane. 106 139
Appearance
Yun Ming is a tall, straight-backed man with a transcendent bearing. His presence is repeatedly compared to a pillar supporting the sky, and his aura naturally commands attention. 59 106
- Shoulder-length black hair 135
- Deep, star-like eyes 135
- Often wears a simple, unadorned white martial outfit 106
- Wields a primitive golden spear engraved with cloud patterns, the Sky-Propping Divine Spear 59
- Emits a sharp golden aura capable of dispersing hostile energy merely through his presence 59
Personality
Yun Ming is confident, proud, and direct, especially when Shrek Academy’s dignity is challenged. He believes strength grants authority and is willing to confront the Federation personally rather than accept what he considers injustice. 146
Despite this arrogance, he is capable of restraint and responsibility. At the Sea God Pavilion, he favors negotiation and careful handling of political crises over Long Yeyue’s immediate use of force. 139 He also respects personal conviction: although disappointed by Wang Chuan’s repeated rejection of Shrek Academy, he accepts the decision rather than forcing recruitment. 74 107
His greatest vulnerability is his sense of duty. He refuses to retreat while Shrek Academy and its people are endangered, even when facing a Demon Plane invasion and multiple enemies of quasi-god caliber. 158 164
Abilities & Skills
Peak Quasi-God Cultivation
Yun Ming is a peak Quasi-God, an existence stated to stand at the threshold of godhood. His power places him among the strongest known combatants on the continent. 157
- Defeated Underworld King Douluo Halosa, who conceded after acknowledging Yun Ming as a representative of the new era. 60
- Repelled the combined attacks of thirteen Super Douluos and three God-Level Mecha with a single spear strike. 148
- Neutralized an Ice and Fire Breath powerful enough to severely injure a Super Douluo without needing to attack directly. 135
- His strength was considered comparable enough to Di Tian that their battle was expected to end in mutual destruction. 172
Sky-Propping Divine Spear
Yun Ming’s golden long spear is his signature weapon. Its spear intent can tear through space and overwhelm large groups of high-level opponents. 59 148
- Sweep Through the Army — Releases a circular golden spear glow that tore through the attacks of thirteen Super Douluos and deflected the firepower of three God-Level Mecha. 148
- Uses condensed spear-force even without formally summoning his Martial Soul, including a finger-strike that instantly killed the Six-Claw Demon Emperor. 107
- His spear aura can disperse surrounding gray and deathly energy. 59
Spatial and Law Comprehension
Yun Ming possesses a profound understanding of the Law of Space. He silently entered Wang Chuan’s Second World rather than breaking it by force, demonstrating that he could bypass its unstable spatial barrier. 135
- Traverses great distances through spatial movement. 61
- Can leave battlefields through spatial rifts when his condition no longer permits continued combat. 149
- His law comprehension and chaotic Soul Power were acknowledged by Wang Chuan as far beyond conventional standards. 147
Sky-Prop Sun-Shooting
Yun Ming’s ultimate technique manifests as a massive golden rune and imposes absolute suppression over the battlefield. 164
- Freezes the movements of nearly all combatants in the affected area; only peak Quasi-Gods and similarly exceptional entities can move freely. 164
- Burns Yun Ming’s life force upon use; Ya Li states that he would die regardless of the technique’s outcome. 164
- He initiated the technique during the destruction of Shrek Academy but abandoned the attack after learning of the alleged restrictions imposed on his path to godhood. 164 165
