Tang Wulin was raised by Tang Ziran and Lang Yue. After they were taken away by a mysterious organization, he resolved to become stronger and sought Wu Zhangkong's help in locating them. This led him to join the Tang Sect. 29 37

His Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul gave him a comparatively weak initial foundation, but the sealed Golden Dragon King power within him granted extraordinary physical strength and later became the source of his greatest abilities. 35 37

Tang Wulin is determined and protective of the people he cares about. During the Class Promotion Tournament, he continued fighting despite the overwhelming disparity between himself and Xu Yue, driven by his promise to Wu Zhangkong and Tang San's encouragement to persist. 42

He is also fundamentally reluctant to win through dishonorable means.
