Background / History

Xu Yue is descended from the orthodox royal line of the Sun-Moon Xu Clan. His father possessed the clan's standard Sun Martial Soul, while the clan also carries the inheritances of the Silver Moon and Purple Imperial Heaven-Destroying Dragon. His parents served with the Blood God Legion and were reported missing after wreckage from mecha and Battle Armor was found at the scene; Xu Yue believes they are dead. He was subsequently raised by the Mu family, close friends of his parents. 1

At age six, Xu Yue awakened the Star of Eden, later identified as Star Sea Harmony, along with an Innate Gravity Domain. He subsequently awakened the Gem of Truth as a second Martial Soul and was confirmed to possess Innate Full Soul Power. 3 4

He chose to cultivate the Star of Eden first because it offered the more immediate combat potential. His first Soul Spirit was a Thousand-Year Earth Element Soul Spirit, through which he gained his first Soul Ring and reached level 13. 5 8

Mu Chen accepted Xu Yue as a blacksmithing disciple after discovering his Ultimate Strength and Ultimate Earth attributes. Xu Yue later performed Spirit Forging on Star Meteor Iron with one hammer strike, an achievement Mu Chen considered unprecedented. 15 17

Leng Yaozhu recruited Xu Yue into the Eastsea Spirit Pagoda and accepted him as her disciple. She provided the Heavenly Phoenix Mark, which can block one fatal attack and contact her, as well as a Heavenly Phoenix Token granting access to Eastsea Spirit Pagoda facilities. 19 20

After a crisis on Lone Cloud Island, Xu Yue absorbed a divine core and formed a new Dragon King bloodline. The transformation lasted a month outside his perception and later enabled his Rock Dragon King form. 62 64 65

Xu Yue has medium-length black hair and clear amber eyes, rather than his father's gold-red eyes. Even at six years old, he was described as spirited and handsome. 1
