Gu Yue investigates the Heavenly Change near Eastsea City while directing Di Tian and Zi Ji. Her long-term objective is to restore the Soul Beasts' former greatness, making Xu Yue's emergence as a potential Plane Master an unpredictable threat to her plans. 26 48

After seeing Xu Yue's aura and extraordinary Soul Rings, she connects him to the Heavenly Change and becomes determined to learn more about him. Rather than eliminating the Child of the Star and risking the Plane Will's hostility, she decides to win him over through softer methods. 31 35 48

When Xu Yue clashes with Tang San's Divine Sense, Gu Yue becomes visibly anxious over his disappearance. She authorizes Di Tian to reveal himself and save Xu Yue if necessary, viewing such aid as an opportunity to earn Xu Yue's gratitude. 55
