The wind of time blows across the world.
It can corrupt all things, yet it cannot corrupt the burning faith within the Dinosaur Elder's heart.
Even if his oil is about to run dry and his lamp is about to go out, even if there is no divine kingdom in the heavens above, the Dinosaur Elder still brims with love for the God of Lava and Earth.
Looking back on his life, the Dinosaur Elder still remembers the awe he felt thousands of years ago when he first beheld the towering figure of his Father God.
Perhaps it was the worship of a small being for something great, or the fervent desire of a small being to chase greatness and become strong, or simply the sense of safety that came from being protected.
But none of that affects the Dinosaur Elder's devout faith now.
Because when those emotions are layered together, that is faith.
That is the feeling that has run through the Dinosaur Elder's entire life.
He loves his Father God so deeply, so unwilling to turn to dust, so desperate to forever gaze upon the Father God's majestic form.
But all of this is about to end.
By now, the Dinosaur Elder has grown completely calm.
Not because he doesn't want to struggle, but because there is no longer any way to struggle.
So, he has chosen to face death, chosen to turn to flame beneath his Father God's statue.
Hoping only that his soul's fire might, at the moment his flesh decays, truly return to his Father God's embrace.
By now, it is nearing nightfall.
Beneath the dusky sky, the common fierce winds have already begun to howl across the plain of loess plateaus.
A strong Dinosaur Man might normally ignore these gales, but now the Dinosaur Elder in this wind is like a firefly about to be snuffed out.
His body sways, his thoughts are muddled, and within his mind, only a montage of scenes about the deity plays on.
He is about to die!
But perhaps this world is always full of luck and miracles.
Or perhaps the deity sensed that his only long-lived believer was about to pass, and so it awakened, it returned!
When the dusky, sand-filled world suddenly trembled, at that moment, the previously muddled Dinosaur Elder, as if in a final burst of lucidity, snapped open his eyes, full of vigor.
"What's happening? Could it be a mass attack of Earth-Drilling Demon Worms?"
"Quick, protect the Elder!"
The several priests who had been accompanying the Dinosaur Elder reacted first, shouting loudly.
Then one priest even took a stride forward, rushing to the Dinosaur Elder's side and reaching out to scoop him up.
But at that very moment, the Dinosaur Elder suddenly stood up.
His originally hunched figure even let out a creaking sound of bones stretching as he straightened abruptly.
In that instant, when the Dinosaur Elder looked back at the priests, that priest was stunned instead.
Because that priest had never seen his Elder's stature suddenly become so tall.
Yet, besides his towering height, tears were now streaming down the Elder's face like a spring gushing forth.
They were tears of excitement, tears of emotion.
He did not leave the platform beneath the statue, only silently weeping with tear-filled eyes and trembling as he waited.
At that moment, all the priests seemed to suddenly understand.
They trembled, they grew excited, they followed the Elder in waiting.
The fierce winds could not stop their unwavering stances, the sand could not blind their eyes, and even the rolling boulders could not shake their will.
Underground, the terrifying rumbling grew closer and more dreadful.
But the epicenter of the eruption was not the plain itself, but the modest hill on the plain where the statue stood.
When the rumbling became like thunder, when the fierce winds ceased their howling, the next moment, the entire mountain collapsed.
Along with the statue, the whole platform sank into the ground.
And with it, the Dinosaur Elder's body fell as well.
On the walls of Black Stone City and in the sky, terrified figures were everywhere.
They looked toward the source of the rumbling and saw a scene that shook every small being.
The once calm plain began to heat and glow, the once towering statue-mountain completely collapsed, and the figures of the several priests that could still be seen vanished entirely.
At that moment, without any warning, dozens of miles of the plain near the statue-mountain turned into a sea of lava in what seemed like the blink of an eye.
"ROAR!!!"
Accompanied by a satisfying roar from an ancient, great being, at that moment, every small being was struck dazed by the terrifying sound, unable to steady themselves whether standing or flying.
What kind of terrifying creature was this!
Its head was like a great mountain, its arms like sky-upholding claws, its form like a tower reaching the heavens.
Its whole body blazed with rolling waves of flame, and just a single ring of scorching air set the entire plain, not yet turned to lava, ablaze.
Even within Black Stone City, the temperature had now surpassed a critical threshold.
Beneath Black Stone City, the river boiled as if set ablaze, countless small fish and shrimp floating lifelessly up from the riverbed.
The Shark People in the city had already begun to flee, some even leaping without hesitation into the seething waters.
The Children of Wind, who had been soaring in the sky, followed suit.
Their wings, once as thin and sharp as blades yet tough and resilient, had turned red-hot and were on the verge of melting and burning.
As for the Serpent People, they could still withstand the temperature of this residual wave.
But the countless Dinosaur People—whether atop the city walls or below them—stood frozen in place, as if their very minds had been stunned, staring blankly at the terrifying, colossal being on the distant horizon.
"F-Father... God...!"
"It's Father God!"
"That is the Father God of our Lava Populace, the ruler of Lava and Earth!"
In that instant, when the first Dinosaur Person muttered those words, countless Dinosaur People snapped awake, their eyes brimming with tears of excitement.
Ah! Look! That terrifying, that majestic, that awe-inspiring great being is none other than our long-lost Father God, who has slumbered beneath the earth!
He is so grand, even taller and more magnificent than the records and preachings of the Sacrificial Order!
At that moment, every Dinosaur Person was overcome with indescribable excitement!
They shouted at the top of their lungs, the jubilant crowd even embracing one another with tearful eyes.
But soon, amid the surging tide of emotion, when the first Dinosaur Person knelt down and raised a hymn of praise, all the Dinosaur People followed in a chain reaction, prostrating themselves before their god.
"Ah! Great Father God! You are the incarnation of Lava and Earth! You stand as grand as a blazing star, and Your radiance shall surely illuminate every inch of the world!"
"...!"
The waves of chanting rose and fell, instantly transforming the entire world into a hall of praise for the god's majesty.
The other three races were utterly dumbfounded.
They looked at the Dinosaur People, then at the towering figure rising from the sea of lava, and for a moment, their minds seemed to short-circuit.
Why?
Why was this God of Lava so colossal?
Their own gods, after thousands of years of growth, had never become this terrifying!
Why?
