The boundary between the Deep Sea and the Near Sea.
At this moment, the world here seemed like a scene of apocalypse.
Tornadoes formed of seawater stretched to the heavens, and within these whirlwinds, countless humanoid monsters were swept into the sky.
Under the violent tearing of the seawater tornadoes, massive numbers of marine creatures were ripped into fragments, or even crushed into bloody foam by the water pressure.
Yet, this was not all. When a giant moth dove from beneath the dark clouds into the sea in an instant, a portion of the ocean seemed to split apart like a severed current.
Wherever the giant moth passed, all marine life within its range was turned into bloody mist by the storms on either side of its wings!
On the other side, a terrifying giant serpent was transforming an entire sea region into a black venom swamp.
Within the venom, any marine creature that touched it would instantly become part of that blackness.
As for the protagonist of this sea battle, the full-bodied green-skinned Water Lizard covered in thick slime was constantly luring a massive octopus behind it, fleeing without cease.
This octopus was truly, truly enormous.
Its eight tentacles rose above the water like eight towering pillars piercing the sky.
A mere slap of its tentacles against the surface could send towering waves crashing across the sea.
This was the God War.
Once the God War began, the battlefield was never a place for mortals to tread.
But unlike the subjects of the Four Gods of Order, the Frog-Fish People of the Deep Sea actually dared to try hunting gods with sheer numbers.
These Frog-Fish People were far, far too numerous. The entire seabed was covered in their shadows; even the Four Races combined could not match a fraction of their numbers.
Though the Four Races were at a disadvantage in numbers, their size and strength were still considerable.
After all, even the smallest among the Four Races, the Mosquito People, stood nearly three meters tall and could fly.
As for the countless Frog-Fish People, none exceeded two meters in size.
For the three races other than the Mosquito People, these Frog-Fish People were at most equivalent to the young of their own kind.
But in the end, numbers sometimes truly mattered.
Because these Frog-Fish People were mad enough, fearless enough to face death.
They were like crazed beings, using their flesh and blood to engage in the most primitive biting and tearing against the Four Races.
No matter how powerful the warriors of the Four Races were, they simply could not fight a hundred, or even a thousand, at once.
After all, their stamina was limited, and the Dinosaur People and Serpent People were not accustomed to fighting in the sea.
Thus, two or three days after the war with the Deep Sea's Frog-Fish People began, the Four Races could no longer hold out.
Suffering heavy casualties, the Four Races had to retreat. While recovering their strength, they used the Shark People's Sea Beasts to launch surprise attacks, wearing down the Frog-Fish People.
Still, in the end, the Four Races were no match for the Frog-Fish People.
So, the gods on the side of the Four Races finally could not hold back and stepped in.
The moment the Water Lizard, the Giant Moth, and the Giant Serpent appeared together from behind the Four Races, tens of thousands of Frog-Fish People died in an instant.
But the three gods' strike might have played right into the Frog-Fish People's hands!
In the darkness of the Deep Sea, when a giant octopus suddenly lashed out with one of its enormous tentacles like lightning, striking the Water Lizard's body like a whip, the Water Lizard's entire form was flung high out of the sea like a broken kite, crashing back into the water.
The Giant Moth reacted the fastest. As the octopus's tentacle approached, it swiftly flew into the sky.
As for the venomous Giant Serpent, it fared better. Its domain was shrouded in pitch-black darkness everywhere, and the octopus's tentacle touching the venom was like trying to catch a fish in murky water with bare hands—it didn't even touch the Giant Serpent at first.
Seeing the sudden appearance of the colossal octopus, the three giant beasts were also greatly startled.
Though they had anticipated it, when the three giant beasts truly saw the full form of the Lord of the Deep Sea, the giant octopus, for the first time, a chill of fear crept into their hearts.
It was simply too enormous.
Each of the octopus's eight tentacles was comparable in size to the Giant Serpent.
Tentacles stretching nearly a kilometer long, and beneath them, a massive body like an island in the sea.
Just looking at the octopus's size was enough to make the three beasts' scalps tingle.
But perhaps because the octopus's ambush had cost him face, the Water Lizard, once it recovered from its fall into the sea, instantly went berserk.
Enraged, it immediately summoned the most powerful water abilities.
Thus, as it stirred up over five massive underwater currents and whirlpools in the ocean, the God War officially erupted.
In the sky, the Giant Moth hid within the low, dark clouds. Using its wind abilities, it guided seawater to form tornadoes that reached the heavens.
Then, it sent the massive tornadoes sweeping toward the octopus's domain!
As for the Giant Serpent...
That one had been shirking from the start, and it continued to do so now.
It only dealt with the Frog-Fish People scattered across the seabed, never approaching the range where the octopus's tentacles could reach.
Still, with the Giant Serpent slaughtering the Frog-Fish People, it managed to suppress the frenzied assault of the Frog-Fish People against the Four Races.
For a time, on the battlefield of the four giant beasts, the aftershocks of the battle began to sweep across vast stretches of the sea.
The entire ocean suddenly turned perilous.
Waves over a hundred meters high, tornado-like water spouts over a kilometer tall, and deep-sea currents and whirlpools sweeping across vast stretches of the seabed—all of it seemed like the end of the world.
And at the very center of this apocalyptic ocean, four giant beasts continued to wrestle and fight.
Every time the Water Lizard was entangled by the Giant Octopus's tentacles, the Giant Moth would swoop down from the sky, using its immense wind power to churn the seawater and strike at the octopus.
It was precisely through the Giant Moth's cooperation that the Water Lizard could escape danger time and again.
Even so, the Water Lizard and the Giant Moth had come to understand that with their current abilities, they could hardly contend with this octopus.
After all, the octopus was in the water, and its water abilities were extremely similar to the Water Lizard's, even surpassing them.
As for the Giant Serpent, which was just coasting along, the two beasts roared at it repeatedly, urging it to hurry up and join the fight—at the very least, use its venomous fangs to bite the octopus!
But the Giant Serpent completely gave up, flatly refusing to take the risk.
Instead, it had the audacity to roar back at the two beasts.
Its expression seemed to say: "Don't you see? That monster has eight tentacles as big as me! If I get close, isn't that just asking to die? Besides, if you two can't beat it, what do you expect from me?"
Faced with the Giant Serpent's brazen attitude, the Water Lizard and the Giant Moth were furious but could only silently take note.
After all, among the Three Beasts, the Water Lizard and the Giant Moth were close, while the Giant Serpent had always held a bit of a grudge, still remembering the time it was threatened by the Water Lizard and the Giant Moth.
So, although their relationship had improved somewhat over the years, when it came to getting the Giant Serpent to truly exert itself, there was no point in hoping for it.
The two beasts also understood this dynamic, so for now, they could only suppress their anger, determined that no matter how the battle ended, they would give the Giant Serpent a proper lesson!
And so, the entire sea became the stage for a drawn-out tug-of-war that consumed the next few days.
It wasn't until Kangqiao arrived that the battle finally saw a real turning point!
