In theory, given Kangqiao's terrifying current tonnage, he should have sunk straight to the bottom the moment he entered the sea.
Forget swimming—his massive body should not have been able to float in the water at all.
But in reality, the instant Kangqiao entered the sea, every cell in his body seemed to awaken with ancient memories.
They were cellular memories from the dawn of the world, when Godzilla slumbered in the sea and was born from it.
Thus, when every cell in Kangqiao's body sensed the presence of water, they inexplicably became active.
And that finally let Kangqiao understand the plot hole of how Godzilla could stand upright in the deep sea in the movies.
Godzilla had never been an ordinary creature. His body existed somewhere between matter and elemental force.
Matter and elements reached a balance, creating his unique nature.
Of course, Kangqiao was far from the only special one. Most other Giant Beasts were much the same.
Although Kangqiao could not wield water like the Water Lizards, he moved through the sea with the agility of a fish.
The land was his home ground, and so was the ocean.
As Kangqiao swam through the sea, the vortices of water formed around him were terrifying.
Simply twisting his body with his tail could stir the seawater into violent undercurrents.
Naturally, the three underwater races did not dare stay too close behind Kangqiao. Most of them trailed far off to either side.
However, the three races did not follow Kangqiao for long.
Kangqiao was not going to wait for them. Once he entered the sea, they soon could not even see his shadow.
Kangqiao swam far too quickly.
It was not that Kangqiao did not care about the three races; he had his own plans.
After all, if they truly encountered some Giant Beasts of the ocean, Kangqiao could not guarantee the safety of those little fellows if they stayed too close to him.
So, to avoid being held back and for the safety of the three races, Kangqiao had to keep as much distance from them as possible.
In the end, in a battle between Giant Beasts, these little fellows could not be of much use. Their presence would be pointless.
Thus, Kangqiao swam through the ocean for nearly three full days and nights before he finally saw the terrifying sight upon the distant horizon.
The sky was filled with endless gales and thunderstorms, while torrential rain poured down without pause.
The raging sea continuously heaved up wave after wave, spilling outward into the surrounding waters.
Amid the crashing waves, Kangqiao could also see countless ugly Frog-Fish People corpses.
The moment he surfaced, Kangqiao was nearly overturned by a gigantic wave.
Fortunately, he adjusted his posture, plunged down fiercely, and entered the depths of the sea.
No matter how violent the surface became, the deep seafloor remained calm.
However, that calm was soon replaced by countless undercurrents and whirlpools battering Kangqiao head-on as he drew closer.
Adjusting himself and adapting to the sea, Kangqiao charged fearlessly through the turbulent currents. At last, he arrived at the source of the chaos.
The ocean before him was packed with Frog-Fish People and warriors of the three underwater races, locked in fierce combat.
These creatures were small, but every one of them was like a crazed zombie.
For example, Kangqiao had just seen a Serpent Person use a bone spear to skewer a whole row of Frog-Fish People. Before he could shake the corpses from his spear, dozens of Frog-Fish People clung to his relatively large body and began gnawing madly.
Then there was nothing more. All that remained of the Serpent Person were a few scraps of bone.
The sight sent a chill down Kangqiao's spine.
At the same time, he did not forget to look toward the surface.
At that moment, the Mosquito People of the Children of Wind were skimming low across the sea, repeatedly thrusting their spears at the Frog-Fish People on the surface.
Like seabirds attacking fish in the water, their agile figures were rather impressive.
But these Frog-Fish People were insane enough. Under the command of several slightly smarter Frog-Fish People, the instant the Children of Wind swooped down, dozens of Frog-Fish People could leap from the water at once, trying to seize the Children of Wind, whose size was not all that different from their own, and kill them in return.
But the Children of Wind were no pushovers. With a single flutter, the small whirlwinds carried by their wings blew the attacking Frog-Fish People back to the seafloor.
Meanwhile, higher above, more Children of Wind continuously hurled spears toward the sea below.
Whenever the Children of Wind ran short of spears, the Dinosaur People and Shark People would command the sea beasts to launch a counterattack against the Frog-Fish People, retrieve the spears, and throw them back into the air.
Then the Four Races would retreat some distance and begin a repeated tug-of-war with the Frog-Fish People, steadily whittling down their massive and terrifying numbers.
"Wasn't this more exciting than a zombie movie?"
The scenes unfolding before him made Kangqiao's blood boil.
The Four Races worked together quite well, and they really were clever!
Although members of their races died from time to time, their losses were almost one for every several hundred Frog-Fish People, sometimes even one for every thousand.
If the Four Races' stamina expenditure was not taken into account, they might very well win this war.
Unfortunately, the Four Races were clearly suffering severe exhaustion now, each one gasping for breath.
Where could they retreat to? Back onto land?
Who knew whether the Frog-Fish People would follow them ashore?
Therefore, the Four Races had no room left to maneuver in this battle.
Besides, if they fought a guerrilla war on land, the Shark People's territory would be utterly ravaged by the Frog-Fish People.
By then, forget fish—they might not even find a single shrimp.

When the vast numbers of front-line Frog-Fish People saw Kangqiao watching the battlefield from afar in the water, every fighting Frog-Fish Person froze for quite a while.
Then, amid a barrage of gibbering cries, the Frog-Fish People continuously passed along signals. The next moment, they swarmed toward Kangqiao like a flood.
Seeing the Frog-Fish People flooding toward him across the seafloor, Kangqiao was dumbfounded.
Even the Four Races were somewhat baffled. But when they came to their senses and looked behind them, their entire bodies began to tremble.
It was not fear, but wild joy and excitement!
"Hey, interesting. Since when did the world become like this? I've never seen fellows so ignorant of their own limits!"
"Damn it, you little things that look no bigger than Chinese big-headed ants actually dare cause trouble for me?"
