Logically speaking, with Kangqiao's current terrifying tonnage, the moment he entered the seawater he should have sunk straight to the seabed.
Let alone swimming, his heavy body simply couldn't float in the water.
But the reality was that the moment Kangqiao entered the sea, every cell in his body seemed to awaken an ancient memory.
It was the memory of the world's infancy, of Godzilla slumbering in the ocean, born from the sea—a cellular memory.
So when Kangqiao's cells sensed the presence of water, they inexplicably became active.
And this finally made Kangqiao understand the BUG of how Godzilla could stand upright in the deep sea in the movies.
Godzilla was no ordinary being; its body existed somewhere between matter and elemental form.
A balance between matter and elements created its uniqueness.
Of course, Kangqiao was far from the only special one; most other Giant Beasts were similar.
Although Kangqiao couldn't use water abilities like the Water Lizards, in the sea he was as agile as a fish.
The land was his home turf, and the sea was the same.
When Kangqiao swam through the ocean, the water vortexes he generated were terrifying.
Even just twisting his body with his tail could stir up violent undercurrents in the sea.
The three aquatic races naturally dared not get too close behind Kangqiao; most hung far off to his sides at a distance.
However, the three races didn't follow Kangqiao for long.
Because Kangqiao wasn't about to wait for them—once he entered the sea, the three races soon couldn't even see his shadow.
Kangqiao swam far too fast.
It wasn't that Kangqiao was abandoning the three races; he had his own plans.
After all, if they encountered certain Sea beasts in the ocean, and these little ones were too close, Kangqiao couldn't guarantee their safety.
So to avoid being held back, and for the safety of the three races, Kangqiao had to keep as far away from them as possible.
In the end, in a war of Giant Beasts, these little ones were useless; coming was pointless.
Thus, Kangqiao swam in the sea for nearly three sunrises and sunsets before he saw the terrifying scene on the distant horizon.
The sky was endless wind and thunderstorm, with rain pouring down constantly.
The sea raged, churning wave after wave outward toward the outer waters.
Amid the wash of these waves, Kangqiao could see dense, ugly Frog-Fish People corpses.
The moment he surfaced, Kangqiao was nearly capsized by a giant wave.
Fortunately, he adjusted his posture and dove straight into the seabed.
No matter how violent the sea surface was, the deep seabed remained calm.
But that calm soon ended as Kangqiao approached, encountering countless underwater currents and vortexes washing over him.
Adjusting his state, adapting to the sea, Kangqiao charged fearlessly through the chaos, and finally arrived at the origin of the turmoil.
What met his eyes in the ocean were dense masses of Frog-Fish People locked in battle with warriors of the three aquatic races.
Though small, these creatures were like rabid zombies.
For instance, Kangqiao just saw a Serpent Person pierce a row of Frog-Fish People with a bone spear, but before it could shake off the corpses on the spear, dozens of Frog-Fish People latched onto its somewhat large body and started gnawing wildly.
And then, there was no "then"—all that remained of the Serpent Person was a bit of bone debris.
Watching this, Kangqiao felt a chill run down his spine.
At the same time, he didn't forget to look at the sea surface.
Up there, the Mosquito People of the Children of Wind were skimming low, constantly stabbing at the Frog-Fish People on the surface with their spears.
Like seabirds attacking fish in the water, their agile figures were quite impressive.
But these Frog-Fish People were also crazy enough—especially under the command of slightly smarter ones—when the Children of Wind dove, dozens of Frog-Fish People could leap out of the water at once, trying to grab the Children of Wind, whose size wasn't too different, and counterattack.
However, the Children of Wind weren't pushovers; a mere tremor of the small cyclones on their wings blew the leaping Frog-Fish People back into the sea.
Meanwhile, higher up, more Children of Wind kept throwing spears into the seabed.
When the Children of Wind ran out of spears, the Dinosaur People and Shark People would command the Sea beasts to counterattack a wave of Frog-Fish People, retrieve the spears, and toss them back into the sky.
Then, the Four Races would retreat a distance, repeating the cycle of attrition against the Frog-Fish People, steadily depleting their terrifyingly massive numbers.
"Isn't this more exciting than a zombie movie?"
Watching scene after scene, Kangqiao felt his blood stir.
These Four Races cooperated quite well, and they were indeed clever!
Though members occasionally fell, their deaths traded at a ratio of several hundred Frog-Fish People for one of theirs, sometimes even a thousand.
If not for the Four Races' dwindling stamina, they might have won this war.
But unfortunately, the Four Races were clearly exhausted, all gasping for breath.
Where could they retreat? Back to land?
Who knows if the Frog-Fish People would follow them up there?
So this battle left the Four Races with no room to maneuver.
Besides, if they fought a guerrilla war on land, the Shark People's territory would be completely ravaged by the Frog-Fish People.
By then, forget fish—you might not even see a single shrimp.
After all, these Frog-Fish People eat everything; wherever they pass, even the coral reefs on the seabed get gnawed clean.
So, for the future of the Shark People, the other three races had no choice but to see it through. After all, if the Shark People were finished, who knew whether these creatures, having taken over the sea, might evolve a bit and then charge onto land again?
If that really happened, the entire world would pretty much be done for.
But ultimately, the victory or defeat of this battle didn't hinge on the fight between the Four Races and the Frog-Fish People.
In this age of Giant Beasts, this age of gods, the outcome depended entirely on the result of the God War between the deities.
After all, divine power was unmatched; no matter how many Frog-Fish People there were, they couldn't withstand sustained divine slaughter.
The Four Races and the Frog-Fish People were locked in fierce combat, with no spare attention to observe what was behind them.
But though the Four Races didn't notice, the Frog-Fish People on the opposite side all saw it.
When the front ranks of Frog-Fish People spotted Kangqiao in the distant seawater, watching the battlefield, every fighting Frog-Fish Person froze for a long moment.
Then, jabbering and chattering, they passed signals among themselves, and the next moment, they swarmed all at once toward Kangqiao's direction.
Seeing the 'sky-covering' tide of Frog-Fish People surging toward him from the seabed, Kangqiao was dumbfounded.
Even the Four Races were baffled at first, but when they came to their senses and looked behind them, every one of them trembled all over.
That wasn't fear—it was ecstasy and excitement!
"Heh, interesting. When did this world become like this? I've never seen such clueless brats who don't know their place!"
"A bunch of little guys, each one looking no bigger than a Chinese broad-headed ant, and they dare to mess with me?"
"Ha! Fine, I'll wipe you all out in one go and see if you still act cocky!"
