"Hey!" A burly black military officer stepped out of the vehicle and immediately embraced Tony upon meeting him. "You guy, I knew you weren't dead!"
"Haha!" Compared to his half-dead state in the original story, Tony was feeling incomparably more relaxed. "I still have so many wonderful things to enjoy and so many beauties I haven't played with yet; how could I possibly die?"
"You guy, you just survived a brush with death, and you're still so unserious?" Rhodey patted him on the back. "How is it? Is the Jinhai Jeep comfortable?"
A peculiar smile appeared on Tony's face, as if he were savoring something. "Hahaha..."
Then, the two of them leaned tightly against each other, leaving those watching from behind in a state of bewilderment.
"This..." Fang Bie looked at the scene before him with some surprise, then turned his head to look at Yinsen.
Yinsen subtly shook his head, indicating that he didn't recognize it either. He couldn't have imagined that our Iron Man, Mr. Tony, had such an unknown side to him.
"Is this what men's friendship is like?" Fang Bie asked curiously, then slowly raised his own hands.
Along with the helicopter came several soldiers with live ammunition. Although Tony had passed the inspection very easily, the two of them, being individuals of unknown identity, would not get through so easily.
"Neither of us seems to have an identity. What should we do?" Fang Bie asked the person beside him quietly. They were speaking in Chinese, so they didn't have to worry about these soldiers understanding them.
"No, I have an identity. At most, it just says I'm missing, so it should be verifiable. You definitely don't have one." Yinsen also raised his hands.
Fang Bie was stunned. "You're just abandoning our revolutionary friendship like this?"
"Don't talk nonsense. Tony definitely has a way to get you out; it's just that I don't." Yinsen blinked and walked toward the helicopter with a pair of soldiers to verify his identity.
Fang Bie followed another pair of soldiers to a different location with some resignation. He wasn't actually worried about his own safety. As one of the world's top billionaires, Tony possessed power in that capitalist country that ordinary people could hardly reach. If he couldn't even bail one person out, then a billionaire like him would be truly pathetic.
After the two finished their embrace, Tony looked back and saw his two companions being led away by soldiers to other locations.
"Let them go; these are my friends!" Tony said. "If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have escaped from there so easily."
Although his words were full of the relief of surviving a disaster, no one could fail to hear the terrifyingly strong confidence he had regarding his ability to escape.
"No, they might be spies planted by a terrorist organization to be by your side. They must undergo a background check before they can enter!" Rhodey was the first to reject his proposal, saying with a stern expression.
"They are ordinary people who were captured and brought to the base with me. They have no status. They are coming with me, and I will guarantee their safety!" Tony's attitude suddenly became very firm.
Rhodey hurriedly pulled him aside. "Brother, do you have some kind of leverage held over you by them? Don't worry, once they are in our hands, no one can keep their secrets!"
"Sigh!" Tony sighed. He knew things wouldn't be that simple, but he couldn't tell the other party clearly about what he had encountered in that world, so he had to shift their line of thinking in another direction.
"In that base, they saved my life, and it was only because they were with me that I was able to escape from there!" He finally came up with a decent reason.
"Where is that base? I'll go and wipe it out!" Upon hearing this, Rhodey no longer cared about investigating the responsibility of the other two and spoke hurriedly. He even raised the walkie-talkie in his hand; it seemed that once he received the target location, he would send his men to bomb it.
"It was in a mountain in the desert, right?" Tony seemed to be trying hard to recall. "I don't remember very clearly. There seemed to be some canyons there, very dry, without much water, and there seemed to be some vegetation covering the surroundings..."
The things he described were almost the opposite of the base's actual appearance, but this was exactly one of the key points they had discussed earlier.
Many things in that base had been completely destroyed by them, and it was basically difficult for others to see them. However, it was hard for them to explain to the other party how the three of them had managed to wipe out everyone in a terrorist base so easily.
So, it was better to let this matter rot in their stomachs and let them go search for a military base that didn't exist. Before leaving, Fang Bie had even filled the entire cave with magma; even if the military searched there, they probably wouldn't be interested in a volcano that was brewing.
Thanks to Tony's guarantee, the two successfully boarded the vehicle without encountering any of those cliché situations where someone would cause trouble. After a short rest at the military base and seeing that the three were in good condition, they boarded the private jet that had been waiting for its owner for a long time.
"Fang Bie, since you've come to our place, you still need to learn some English. Otherwise, it will be a hassle if you can't understand what we're saying." Tony chatted with Fang Bie beside him.
This was one of the difficulties Tony thought Fang Bie might encounter here. He was a top genius, so it didn't matter if he knew every language, but to survive on this planet, especially in their country, mastering English was a necessary skill.
Fang Bie nodded. "I know. I will try my best to learn. Do you have anything that can assist me?"
"After I go back, I'll have Jarvis create a simple English-learning software for you. Just carry it with you. While you don't know how to read or write yet, this software will help you with language recognition and simultaneous interpretation." Tony said casually. Many products that would only appear in laboratories seemed to have become household items in his words.
"As expected, you have black technology in your hands!" Fang Bie sighed. Just from this simple sentence, he could already feel Tony's confidence and wealth.
Meanwhile, Rhodey was making calls frantically. It was safe to say that the news of the reappearance of one of the world's few top tycoons on Earth had caused quite a stir.
If it weren't for the fact that Tony was sensible enough not to answer any calls, and his phone was currently charging, he probably wouldn't have had any free time until now.
The private jet was fast. It didn't take much time from takeoff to steadily entering the stratosphere. After a day of action, the three of them were mentally exhausted and soon fell asleep on the plane.
A day later, the plane landed back at Tony's private airport, and by this time, many people were already waiting there.
