After the three of them took a rough tour of the entire villa, Tony led the two to their accommodations, which were a few guest rooms that were rarely used on a daily basis.
The house consisted of three discs of varying sizes; the largest disc served as his living room and laboratory, with the secret laboratory hidden within the mountain connected directly beneath it.
The three discs above consisted of a massive bedroom and a row of guest rooms, topped off with a very high observation deck.
Fang Bie and the others casually picked two rooms from this row of guest rooms.
"Tony, I don't think you need to bring us to your home. You could have just dropped me off anywhere, I have my own home to return to!"
Yinsen said, feeling quite uncomfortable. He was a man with a home, and although he didn't have any family left, it was always more comfortable to live in one's own place.
"Of course!" Tony nodded earnestly and glanced at him, "Fang Bie has no home to go to, which is why I brought him here. As for you, Yinsen..."
He led the two into the laboratory. The door opened automatically, and the voice of Jarvis arrived right on cue, "Sir, should I add these two gentlemen to the room's trusted list?"
"Of course, add them to the trusted list for all rooms except the underground laboratory. My bedroom is off-limits, of course!" Tony said casually.
Neither Fang Bie nor Yinsen took it to heart, unaware that this was almost the highest level of clearance possible, second only to his secretary.
Tony spoke quickly, "Jarvis, give me the materials to build a small Arc Reactor."
"Sir, the Arc Reactor requires palladium, which is highly radioactive. Would you like to implement isolation measures?" Jarvis's suggestion came the moment his voice fell, yet the mechanical arms did not pause, continuing their other tasks with great speed.
Fang Bie could not discern the relationship between these materials, but Yinsen could see shadows of the components they had fashioned in the cave.
"No need. See the Arc Reactor on my chest? This is what keeps me alive." As Tony spoke, he unhesitatingly took off his suit jacket, revealing the sturdy muscles he had developed while in the cave.
At the same time, the ring-shaped piece of palladium was retrieved from a refrigerated cabinet by a mechanical arm and handed to him.
"Yinsen, do me a favor, just like we did in the cave..." Tony didn't bother with the busy mechanical arms; after taking off his clothes, he immediately lay down on a chair, pulled a few wires from his side, and connected them to the reactor on his chest.
Yinsen hesitated, "Are you sure you don't want to go to a hospital for some sterilization? I know a method; if you give me some simple medical equipment, I can do it."
"Mr. Yinsen, the laboratory is sterilized with micro-ultraviolet light; there are no germs present. Please proceed with the surgery with peace of mind." Jarvis's voice appeared above them, and what the mechanical hand handed over was an exceptionally exquisite-looking reactor.
Before they could even react, this highly intelligent robotic butler had already assembled an Arc Reactor.
Unlike the Arc Reactor in Tony's chest, which had been hand-crafted in the cave, this one was filled with mechanical beauty and a sci-fi blue glow; even the energy indicators on it were several levels higher.
"Alright!" Yinsen nodded and skillfully took surgical tools from the workbench nearby, mostly tweezers and cotton swabs.
Meanwhile, Fang Bie was already attracted by another set of equipment Tony had brought out.
"Fang Bie, this is the Smart Simultaneous Interpretation Device I mentioned to you earlier. Clip it to your ear and you'll be able to enjoy its effects. After all, this is the United States; you need to adapt to the environment as soon as possible!" Tony tossed a device that looked like a Bluetooth headset from a pile of machinery nearby.
He was still thinking about such things while lying on the operating table; he truly lived up to his reputation for having a big heart.
Fang Bie caught it easily and hung it on his ear. Looking in a nearby mirror, he could see the ear-clip device, which was only as thick as a finger, unfolding as if it were alive, attaching itself to his ear canal. A small screen also appeared before his right eye.
"What an amazing device!" Fang Bie exclaimed. He had to admit that this black technology, far beyond the current era, possessed a charm of its own. He studied his device while observing the actions of the other two.
Tony and Yinsen were still communicating in English, as it was their native language, and Fang Bie could clearly translate the results of their conversation through the device.
Moreover, he could keenly perceive some unfamiliar vocabulary appearing before his eyes. For him, this learning device was truly exceptionally useful!
On the other side, once Yinsen came into contact with these familiar tools, he quickly adopted the demeanor of a veteran doctor.
Several nerve wires connected to various parts of the body were pulled over and attached to Tony, and the tweezers in his hand had already separated the wires that had become a chaotic mess after days of neglect. He carefully pulled out the entire battery unit with his hands!
"Hurry up and change the battery for me, unless you want me dead!" Tony said with a hint of urgency. The moment the battery was removed, he could clearly feel his blood flow slowing down and the pressure on his heart increasing sharply.
This was the thing that was truly killing him!
"Don't worry, I performed your heart surgery; I know what to do." Yinsen calmly wiped the wound with a cotton swab and removed the iron ring from his chest to replace it with a new one.
He had made that iron ring himself to ensure that Tony's chest would not continue to grow, thereby covering up the device that sustained his life.
Now that he had to reinstall the ring, it had to be kept, but this time, the ring could be fitted with materials more suitable for the human body—at least ones that wouldn't trigger an automatic rejection, such as Steel-Chromium Alloy.
"Zzz..." As Yinsen finished cleaning the wound and reinstalled the electrolytes, the electrolytic fluid, and the new reactor, the ashen-faced Tony finally regained some color.
"My god, I thought you were going to send me to see God!" Tony was sweating; he had been incredibly nervous during this replacement.
"I am the doctor. You can't possibly know your own condition better than I do!" Yinsen said casually. He was usually a very peaceful person, but when it came to his profession, he was stricter than anyone else.
"Got it, you're a top-tier doctor!" Tony pulled off the wires on his body and prepared to put on his clothes.
"I think you'd better add a cover to your chest, otherwise..." Fang Bie wandered over to them. What he said now had already been switched to English.
With a light flick of his hand, he directly removed the reactor from Tony's chest, though he didn't pull out the wires inside, leaving them still connected to his chest.
