Zi Yan was separated from the Ancient Void Dragon Clan amid the turmoil following her father Zhu Kun's disappearance. As a dragon egg, she was lost during the clan's internal conflicts; after hatching, she survived alone by fighting Magical Beasts for food and cultivation resources. During her childhood, she accidentally consumed a Human-Shaping Grass, leaving her in the form of a purple-haired little girl.
