Arc 13The Kannabi Bridge Campaign
Akaseki joined Orochimaru’s campaign to secure Konoha’s supply lines, then led the assault on Kannabi Bridge against Iwagakure’s Jinchuriki. Konoha captured the stronghold and consolidated its position, easing pressure on the countermeasure force.
- Akaseki learned that Iwagakure and Amegakure had attacked Konoha’s positions, and Orochimaru sent him to reinforce Cloud-Breaking Pass, where he rescued the surviving troops and drove off the Rain Ninja.
- Orochimaru chose to intensify the campaign against Sunagakure while a countermeasure force protected the supply routes, assigning Torifu Akimichi to take Kannabi Bridge with Akaseki and three Uchiha.
- Akaseki recruited Ranwu, Hizashi, and Minato for the Kannabi Bridge assault, while Nawaki escaped Madara, only to be captured by Root and taken for Hashirama cell tests.
- Akaseki led the underground attack on Kannabi Bridge, where he and the Uchiha confronted Roshi as Torifu and the other forces engaged the Stone Ninja and their sealing technique.
- The destroyed seal summoned Han in his fully transformed Five-Tails form, and Yangyong and Gongzhi Jiu helped disrupt Han’s control while Torifu fought him and Akaseki battled Roshi.
- Akaseki flooded the battlefield with his Giant Exploding Water Colliding Wave, cooling Roshi’s magma and forcing him to expend chakra, while Torifu and the Uchiha weakened Han’s resistance.
- Han signaled Roshi to retreat, and the Konoha Jonin pursued both Jinchuriki before returning to Kannabi Bridge, where Minato and a sealing specialist secured the stronghold.
- Dan Katō arrived with reinforcements, and Konoha used his Spirit Transformation Technique to clear nearby strongholds, consolidate Kannabi Bridge, and cut Stone Ninja routes into the Land of Rain.
