Horikita recruits Ayanokouji to help bring academically struggling classmates into a study group. After direct invitations fail, he helps motivate Sudo, Ike, and Yamauchi by proposing a reward involving Kushida 13 17.

During Sudo's suspension crisis, Takahashi contacts Ayanokouji under the pretense of checking on Sakura's camera repair, prompting him to consider evidence that could expose the Class C students who provoked Sudo 26.
