Background / History

The Old Principal has served as Magic Martial Academy's principal for more than forty years. His tenure has been defined by the academy's responsibility for the Demon Capital Underground Cave: generations of teachers and students remained behind or were sent into the cave, with more than a thousand memorial tablets eventually filling the top floor of the School History Museum. 1 222 223

His central ideal is “one school guarding one cave.” He regards the academy's losses as part of its duty, while recognizing the personal cost this imposed on his students. 1

Before Su Yi's rise, the Old Principal persuaded Qin Nansheng to remain at Magic Martial Academy by intercepting his Investigation Bureau applications. Qin resented the act, but stayed out of respect for his teacher and commitment to the Underground Cave. 1
