"How about we wait a little longer?" Seeing Lu Li hesitate, White Shade softly suggested.
"No more waiting." Invisibility Li pulled a sharp little knife from the Space Pouch. With a swift motion, he sliced off a small segment from the tip of his pinky finger.
"This place is nothing like the outside world. The situation is complicated and ever-changing, so it's best to act quickly."
"Alright." White Shade nodded and took the fingertip Invisibility Li handed her.
With her mouth slightly open, she swallowed it in one gulp.
Invisibility Li: "Uh..."
"What is it, My Lord?" White Shade looked puzzled.
"Nothing." Invisibility Li shook his head.
"I just didn't expect you to swallow the fingertip directly... Wouldn't it have been enough to find somewhere to hide it?"
White Shade replied with a serious expression, "This is a part of My Lord. No hiding place is safer than inside my body."
"Hiss, what if I'd cut off something other than a pinky fingertip..." Invisibility Li drew in a quiet breath, deep in thought.
Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at White Shade.
The latter remained perfectly calm as she answered:
"I would still hide it inside my body."
"As long as it is a part of My Lord's body, nowhere is safer to White Shade than inside my body."
Seeing how serious she was, without the slightest ripple in her expression, Invisibility Li immediately gave up on teasing her for amusement.
Taking care of business was more important.
"In a moment, you'll attack the target first. Whether you succeed or not, leave immediately after one strike. Do not linger."
"If I successfully kill him, keep your distance and follow from afar."
"If I fail to kill him, retreat at once and leave the Demon Domain."
