"Are you sure that guy will be on time?"
Octopus Lady glanced at the time displayed on her Data Panel. The tentacles beneath her writhed unconsciously, making her look somewhat irritated.
"Don't worry. I've been in contact with him for so long, and I've never seen him be late." The Rimewind King stood nearby with his hands behind his back, speaking leisurely.
"Still, I'm a little surprised you chose to meet him right away."
"What else was I supposed to do?" Octopus Lady gave the Rimewind King an expressionless look.
"To meet an intelligence broker from the Demon Domain, did I need to find a 'precognition-type' Player to calculate the time and pick an auspicious date?"
"Back then, when Black Whale and I got together, it was right on the battlefield."
"And that's precisely why it ended in tragedy..." the Rimewind King muttered softly.
"What did you say? I didn't catch that." A chill surfaced on Octopus Lady's expressionless face.
"Uh... I meant there's no need to be so extreme." The Rimewind King bared his teeth in a grin.
"You don't have to pick an auspicious date, but at least choose a relatively convenient time."
"The Star Domain Overlord Conference convened by Longevity Heaven is about to begin. Instead of rushing over, you're here meeting an intelligence broker from the Demon Domain."
"Aren't you afraid Longevity Heaven will get tired of waiting, put your name in his little notebook, and make things difficult for you at every turn later?"
"Has he ever not made things difficult for me?" Octopus Lady sneered in reply.
