Balgon maintained his dull, simple-minded expression and chuckled foolishly.
"Whatever are you saying, madam?"
"Balgon is a genuine Goblin, not some special variant."
"A low-tier monster is a low-tier monster. It has never been mid-tier or high-tier."
"Balgon is as weak as an insect. Madam could crush Balgon to death with the flick of a finger."
"I don't believe you." The suspicion in Octopus Lady's eyes remained impossible to dispel.
The two fell silent for a while. One of her tentacles curled beneath her and produced a thumb-sized vial.
"If you won't tell me the truth, drink this. I'll inspect your memories myself."
The smile on Balgon's face stiffened. He shifted his gaze toward the Rimewind King.
"Esteemed ruler of the Tempest Domain, Rimewind King."
"When you introduced me to a client, it seems you neglected to mention this part?"
"Ah, sorry. Octopus is a little stubborn..." Rimewind chuckled, actually giving Balgon an apologetic smile.
In Octopus Lady's eyes, that was as absurd as someone stepping on an ant while walking, then lowering their head to apologize to it, saying they had hurt it by accident and begging forgiveness!
"Octopus, what are you doing? I introduced you to Balgon so you'd have another channel for learning about the Demon Domain." The Rimewind King immediately turned to Octopus Lady and spoke in a low, rapid voice.
"Why are you making him drink your secret concoction right off the bat?"
"He's not your prisoner! He's a partner, alright?"
"But he said he was as weak as an insect, and that I could easily crush him with the flick of a finger." Octopus Lady's attitude did not change as she said, "In that case, why should I place him on equal footing as a partner?"
"If I just enslave him, wouldn't I still
