Evelina was utterly baffled when she saw Lu Li stop her.
"Don't rush to ask which door is the exit yet." Lu Li remained calm. "To be safe, let's verify it once more."
"Huh? The cautious you is back!" Evelina said in surprise, giving Lu Li an exaggerated once-over.
Lu Li: "..."
"I've always been like this, okay..."
"Then I'll go this time." Babayak volunteered. "Same question, and I'll ask the guard on the right."
"As long as its answer is negative this time, it'll prove that our deduction is completely correct!"
"Mm, go ahead." Lu Li nodded, his expression still unchanged.
Babayak quickly walked up to the guard on the right and asked the exact same question:

The stone guard reacted no differently than before. Its eyes glowed red in the same way, and it gave the same stiff reply.
