A rift suddenly tore open in the pitch-black, deathly silent void, thick black-green gas gushing from within.
A Greater Demon clad in crimson armor flew out of the rift and swiftly swept his gaze across the surroundings.
At the same time, he silently drew all the dispersed demonic energy into his body.
Only after confirming that it was safe did he turn his gaze back to the rift behind him.
This demon was none other than Lu Li, who had been operating within the Demon Domain under the identity of Li Yun!
He watched as Toad Swallower and the other demon elders flew out of the rift, silently counting their numbers.
Including himself, there should have been eleven Greater Demons.
Yet after counting three times over, there were only ten.
"Varimathras hasn't come out yet?"
Lu Li silently muttered as he looked toward the rift still hovering nearby.
"What kind of damned place is this? There isn't even a single star..."
Toad Swallower failed to notice that someone was missing from the group. He merely kept surveying their surroundings, loudly complaining in words laced with mental energy:
