The entire venue erupted!
They weren't even trying to hide it anymore!
Though no one knew what Lu Li was really planning, the fact that Casino manager Hansel and Eternal Night were colluding was now laid bare for all to see.
So what if Lu Li held an overwhelming advantage?
Could he win a gamble where even the referee favored his opponent?
Absolutely not!
Since there was no hope of winning to begin with, was he simply having all of them, the chips, choose to support Eternal Night?
Psychological warfare?
Or was he just giving up?
No one knew what to think.
A deathly silence spread through the audience seats, and even the enormous twisted creature outside the casino fell still for a moment.
The stalemate seemed as though it could continue forever.
Until someone made the first choice.
The first button pressed beneath someone's fingertip was blue.
A shrill alert sounded through the silent stands, startling the Player who had pressed it so badly that he jumped.
Eternal Night looked toward the sound and tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"A wise man submits to circumstances!"
"I'll remember you. Once this is over, I'll give you the reward you deserve."
They were clearly just two simple sentences, carrying no pressure whatsoever.
Yet they instantly made sweat break out across the Player's forehead and sent a chill down his spine!
He did not even know what he had been thinking, pressing the blue button first.
Perhaps he trusted Lu Li, and so had followed the other man's request to the letter?
Or perhaps...
He simply wanted to survive?
It no longer mattered.
The decision had been made. There was no taking it back.
Once someone had taken the lead, the chips behind him no longer felt burdened by hesitation.
