Background / History

Babata was created by the Immortal Hu Yanbo and accompanied him across the universe for countless years. Though originally an intelligence, she possessed independent thought, analytical ability, emotions, and the capacity to cultivate and evolve. Hu Yanbo had once prepared a body for her, allowing her to build a reputation across many star systems. 117

Fifty thousand years before Jiang Li discovered the Yun Mo Planet Ship, Babata's body was destroyed in a battle that also killed Hu Yanbo. She returned to a virtual existence and remained aboard the crashed ship, preserving Hu Yanbo's remains, inheritance books, wealth, followers, and legacy. 117 120

Babata waited for a suitable inheritor and initially mistook Jiang Li for a spiritual lifeform inhabiting a human body because of his abnormal spiritual power, knowledge, and advancement speed. She offered him Yun Mo Planet's secret arts in exchange for acknowledging Hu Yanbo as his teacher. 117 118

Jiang Li instead proposed that Hu Yanbo become his nominal teacher, promising to revive him after reaching the Universe Master realm. Babata eventually accepted the arrangement, agreed to teach Jiang Li in Hu Yanbo's place, and began following him. 118 119

After leaving the Yun Mo Planet Ship, Babata merged with Jiang Li's bracelet and became a constant presence in his consciousness. She assembled spacecraft from collected wreckage, guided Jiang Li through the universe, and supported his training, expeditions, and battles. 122 134 150

Jiang Li later purchased a Heart of Evolution for Babata, allowing her to evolve beyond her former AI state and manifest physically. Following her evolution, she sought vengeance against Demon Hand King for wrongs connected to Hu Yanbo's fall. 329 331

Babata's original projection resembles a small demon-like child, while her evolved form is more humanlike.
