"Four more times. Continue."
Harry took a deep breath to steady himself.
[Peeves' Weapon Fusion · Bronze]
[Manifestation of the spirit magic of rebellion and chaos, fusing gunpowder and steel creations with defiance, accompanied by magical modification]
[...YES or NO]
—Three random draws and he actually got a talent trait!
—Wait... this...
—Did that mean Peeves could now manifest small cannons and large-caliber muzzle-loading rifles?
—Firearms enchanted so they couldn't be easily dispelled by Transfiguration?
Back in 1876, when Peeves was thoroughly enraged, it was these very weapons that emptied the castle for three days. He only calmed down after signing a contract with the then-Headmistress Eupraxia Mole, securing a series of privileges.
—Thankfully Peeves stayed at Hogwarts. Otherwise... if he erupted again, he might manifest AK-74s, RGD-5 grenades, or RPG-7 rocket launchers.
Mrs. Weasley's Household Tips · Bronze
Gilderoy Lockhart's Cosmetology · Bronze
Mundungus' Stealth · Bronze
—You've got to be kidding me!
Harry wanted to curse, but seeing they were Bronze and not Black Iron, he managed to suppress his anger.
Though Mrs. Weasley's household skills were something he could learn directly from her, and Lockhart's cosmetology was far too flashy.
But looking on the bright side, Mundungus was a broker who moved in both the light and dark worlds—someone even Kreacher, the Black family's senior House-elf, took a long time to find.
And...
Not a single talent from this draw was useless.
"Accept all!"
Harry's magic began to transform.
Order turned to chaos, and a spirit that sought to rebel against everything was born.
Hum—!
The Sith Sword Hilt's blade seemed infected by this spirit, unsheathing itself and soaring upward, tracing a graceful arc before plunging straight into the top of Harry's head, then vanishing entirely.
This wasn't the rebellion of a [Horcrux].
It was the complete union of man and wand, [Horcrux] and master.
The Ravenclaw Wisdom Rune, which could only be used indirectly through the hilt, began to grow clear.
Every finger, every strand of hair could now serve as a wand.
Then came the membrane.
His skin, already impervious to blades and fire, underwent further transformation.
Light seemed to flow across its surface. Even his weakest eyelids could now withstand the crushing pressure of the deep sea and the radiation of outer space.
His eye membranes, eardrums, and the orifices of mouth and nose—the gates of interaction with the outside world—were now protected by an intangible, formless film. His entire physical body had shed its structural flaws.
Next, the wooden cabin, built from the corpse of a tree, began to recount to Harry its experiences as a living tree.
A holy magic, utterly different from [Unicorn Blood], began to be born in every cell—as fervent as fire, as domineering as light, a sanctity sworn to sweep away all darkness.
Finally, the shadow behind Harry began to churn, boiling like water over a flame. Despair and futility brewed within it, and the shadow in his heart began to merge with it.
He would never again be swayed by negative emotions, forever remaining optimistic and rational.
—Damn it!~
Realizing something was wrong, Harry tried to curse, only to find his fury fading rapidly, pouring into the shadow.
First he evolved past sleep, and now mental fatigue was gone too!
But reason urged him toward another decision.
"Avada Kedavra!"
His slender fingers extended, and a brilliant, deathly light bloomed, striking the curious azure eyes across from him.
—No effect on Dark Magic... instead, it was more powerful and controllable.
—Negative emotions weren't gone; they just moved somewhere else, still under my control.
—The power of [Dark Qi] had grown stronger, which in turn boosted [Righteous Qi].
—Hell!
—What was I now, a super Dark Wizard?
As Harry grumbled, Time flowed on once more. Dumbledore's pale skin regained its color. The wooden cabin, which had sprouted leaves and come alive, died again. The silent world regained its sounds.
"I didn't misunderstand."
Dumbledore finally began to pick up where Harry had left off before time stopped.
"You've grown stronger, after using that spell."
"The Bowtruckle's magic, the Unicorn's magic, the Troll's magic. Especially the Bowtruckle and the Troll—I've never seen such powerful variants in the wizarding world. How curious, how did they grow to this extent inside you?"
"Harry, you really do have Troll blood!" Ron blurted out instinctively.
"It's just magic."
Hermione and Draco had only just shot Ron a glare, not yet having time to lash out, when Harry said with a smile.
The anger still existed, but it could no longer affect Harry. It was as if a screen separated him from his negative emotions, one he could swipe and manipulate with his fingers, more effortlessly than before.
"A large portion of magical creatures originally came from wizards, or even evolved directly from them."
"For example, the Quintaped—they were once wizards."
"This might be tied to the deepest mysteries of magic itself, a field of research that wizards today have yet to step into."
"Yes, exactly that." Draco nodded.
"Haven't you heard Dumbledore? There's no Troll or Bowtruckle that strong to be found in the wizarding world." Hermione snorted disdainfully. "If Neville heard you slandering Harry, he'd give you a good thrashing."
Among Harry's followers, only Neville had taken up his physical training.
Now, though his face was still round, he was more than enough to overpower Crabbe and Goyle, those two gatekeepers.
"Dumbledore, I've already decided where to go on Friday—the Space Hall," Harry said.
Everything in the Department of Mysteries was indeed a mystery. Even the wizarding world didn't know what was studied there, only that such a department existed, and its employees were called the Unspeakables.
But in a world where most wizards believed there were frogs on the moon and that a broomstick could fly up there, the Space Hall was no secret.
"Of course, I have connections in the Department of Mysteries as well," old Malfoy quickly said.
"Please forgive the curiosity of a man my age—space—"
"I grew up in what's called the Muggle World, and Muggles successfully landed a man on the moon in 1969. Our country proposed the Space Chariot Project in the 1640s, and to this day, it hasn't been realized."
"It seems I misunderstood. You don't know that just yesterday, our country successfully launched a manned rocket, with the help of the Space Hall."
Dumbledore blinked. "By the way, this is still a secret."
"For one, most wizards are unwilling to accept it—wizards only contributed a very insignificant part of the effort."
"For another, it violates the Statute of Secrecy. The International Confederation of Wizards will surely hold us accountable if they find out."
"Yesterday?" Harry realized with a start.
"An insignificant part of the effort?" x3
The Malfoys, father and son, and Ron all questioned in unison.
"We facilitated the implementation of the repeatedly shelved moon landing project and used magic to inspect and reinforce the cabin," Dumbledore said. "Everything else was Muggle technology. By magic alone, we could not have achieved this miracle."
"This blue planet—even a Phoenix cannot escape it."
"And yet the Muggles have done it."
"This is thanks to you, Harry."
"It is your existence that has brought the wizarding world and Muggle governments together so closely for the first time."
"It is you who made the Space Hall project possible."
"It is you who opened my eyes."
"Perhaps... in my lifetime, I might even travel to Mars."
