A dizzying spin left Jimo shaking his groggy head.

"Transmigration just like that? Is it really this easy nowadays? No need for seven planets to align or a divine lightning strike or anything?"

Jimo, a struggling college graduate, had just stepped out to buy groceries when he was taken out by a tomato grown by his upstairs neighbor.

A vertical drop from a sixth-floor balcony, landing squarely on his crown.

After that, his spirit saw someone calling himself the Tomato God, who said that to make up for the mistake caused by his own path to godhood, he could use the power of readers to send Jimo wherever he wanted.

Jimo thought it over and chose to become a villager. It definitely wasn't because he wanted to see how big Tsunade was! Nor because he wanted to check if Mitarashi Anko wore fishnet lining! And certainly not because he wanted to know if Hinata could float! Absolutely not!

So that self-proclaimed Tomato God conjured an interdimensional rift, said "Safe travels!", and kicked him straight through.

Jimo rubbed his sore rear—something was off, it didn't hurt that much.

Then he spotted a yellow-haired, spiky-headed boy lying motionless beside him.

"Did I... hit someone?"

Jimo quickly flipped the kid over. The iconic whisker marks on his cheeks confirmed Jimo's guess.

He'd knocked Naruto unconscious?!

"Congratulations, host! You've interacted with an important character in the Naruto world! You've obtained the Anime Skill Template System! Please check it!"

A mechanical voice rang out in Jimo's mind, startling him.

"Anime Skill Template System?"

"Yes! Consider it compensation from that self-proclaimed Tomato God..."

The emotionless mechanical voice echoed in Jimo's head.

"Now distributing your newbie gift pack. Please choose a skill template from Dragon Ball, One Piece, or Bleach!

Advance notice: this world's combat power balance system does not allow excessive power creep. Therefore, overpowered skills from other anime worlds may have a degree of effect suppression. Do not challenge the rules by outputting full-power skills."

"What kind of system is this! So low-end?"

Jimo complained.

"Please do not insult the system, or the gift pack will be revoked."

"Fine, fine, you win. I choose the Dragon Ball template!"

Jimo answered impatiently. Was there even a choice? It's Dragon Ball, after all!

"Congratulations, host! You've obtained the Young Goku Template.

Unlocked summon: Flying Nimbus.

Unlocked skill: Rock Paper Scissors.

Unlocked skill: Monkey Fist.

Unlocked skill: Spinning Fist.

Unlocked passive: Saiyan Bloodline.

Obtained exclusive weapon: Nyoi-Bo (Note: not the 13,500-jin one)."

A string of prompts pounded Jimo's head until it ached.

"Wait! Where's the Kamehameha! Where's Super Saiyan! What about the Spirit Bomb?"

The moment he heard "Young Goku," Jimo had a bad feeling.

"This system is very rigorous. The host chose Dragon Ball's growth template, so naturally, it's Young Goku's initial form. Please train diligently, host, and strive to unlock new skills and forms as soon as possible."

Jimo's face darkened like the bottom of a pot. He should've picked the One Piece template instead... at least he'd start with a Devil Fruit to develop, or worst case, draw a Zoro template—that'd still be a decent start.

"So I have to train myself... Then what good are you!"

"Please don't lose heart, host. The system will give you an extra bonus here. All you need to do is forward this to three fellow transmigrators to help out, and—"

"Get out of here with your pyramid scheme!"

"Detected host refusing to forward. The system is sad, but the system will still give you the reward.

The Seven Color Dragon Ball Bracelet has been unlocked!

The Seven Color Dragon Ball Bracelet can grant the host one wish per year, within the limits of its capacity!"

Jimo looked at the bracelet on his wrist, set with seven colored glass beads.

"Can it wake Naruto up?"

"Sure! Wish granted. Entering one-year cooldown."

The seven colored glass beads glowed briefly, then turned gray.

"You..."

And just like that, Jimo wasted a wish...

"Hiss!!! That hurts!"

Naruto slowly came to, clutching the lump on his head and sucking in cold air.

"Um... sorry about that..."

Jimo scratched his head, suddenly realizing his body had shrunk to about twelve years old, barely a hair taller than Naruto.

"No worries, just don't climb so high next time!"

Naruto scratched his own head, flashing a wide grin of white teeth.

"By the way, I come to this forest a lot, but I've never seen you around!"

Jimo glanced at the two fish on the ground and guessed that Naruto had blown his living allowance on paint for pranks again, leaving him broke and forced to catch fish here to fill his stomach.

"I only came to this place recently. Couldn't make a living back in my village, so I'm trying my luck in Konoha..."

"An outsider, huh... No wonder you're not scared of me."

Naruto muttered under his breath.

"Oh, right, I'm Jimo. What's your name?"

"Naruto! Uzumaki Naruto! The man who's gonna become Hokage!"

Naruto swiped a finger under his nose and struck a pose he thought looked awesome.

"Hokage, huh!"

"You know about the Hokage too? That's the strongest existence in Konoha!"

The moment the Hokage came up, Naruto started chattering nonstop.

Even though Jimo had heard all this so many times his ears were calloused, hearing it straight from Naruto in person was way cooler than watching the anime.

As they talked, both their stomachs growled embarrassingly.

"Hey! I had a good catch today, exactly two fish! I'll treat you to grilled fish!"

Jimo looked at the yellow spiky-haired kid in front of him. This was Naruto, all right—even in darkness, he could still bring warmth.

So Naruto went to clean the fish, while Jimo was in charge of finding firewood.

"I remember... Little Goku could just chop wood with his bare hands..."

Jimo approached a tree so thick it would take two people to wrap their arms around it. He took a deep breath, then punched the trunk. The tree snapped clean in half.

Jimo rubbed his slightly swollen fist, still not used to Little Goku's template.

Then, as he chopped firewood bare-handed, he gradually adapted to Little Goku's strength.

When Jimo came back carrying a huge bundle of firewood on the Nyoi-Bo, Naruto had already set up the grill.

"Jimo, did you... go cut down a tree?"

"Yeah."

Naruto stared curiously at the firewood Jimo brought back.

"I didn't see you with an axe... This wood looks like it was snapped by some kind of force..."

Naruto didn't dwell on it and lit the kindling to start grilling the fish.

Soon, the fragrant grilled fish was ready.

Even without salt, it had a unique flavor.

During the meal, Jimo felt it wasn't enough, so he jumped into the river and caught a few more fish, making Naruto envious of his fishing skills.

After all, it took Naruto ages of angling just to land two fish that could fill his stomach.
