History

Shen Yi’s soul transmigrated into the body of a low-ranking Dong Commandery Pacification Office constable. After inheriting the original owner’s memories, he endured abuse from his superiors for half a month before acting against them. 1

He killed fellow constable Liu Fang and awakened a system that awards secluded cultivation time for killing martial artists. The system gave Shen Yi a means to overcome his ordinary talent, late start in martial arts, and initially blocked meridians. 2 11 274

After killing Niu Ben and Xu Ping, Shen Yi found the incomplete Array Breaker Art hidden in Niu Ben’s residence. He stole supplies, fled the Pacification Office’s jurisdiction, and became a wanted man pursued by Cui Kui and later other Black Guard Centurions. 4 9 85

While traveling the jianghu, Shen Yi saved Broken Blade Hall Master Qin Jianghe from an ambush. He adopted the identity Chen Yu to conceal himself, accepted Qin Jianghe’s guidance, and briefly stayed with the Broken Blade Hall before the Qilin Rankings exposed his true identity and forced him to depart. 18 19 25 35

Shen Yi is a young, handsome man whose smiling face still carries a faintly sharp, dangerous edge. He has appeared in close-fitting blue attire with a white-sheathed longsword at his waist and a White Cloud Guard saber on his back. 220

Shen Yi was initially quiet and withdrawn, enduring humiliation rather than provoking stronger men while he lacked the means to resist. Once he gained the system, he became decisive and ruthlessly pragmatic, accepting that survival in the jianghu requires violence when necessary. 1 2
