A person's personality and way of handling things could be used as one of the factors for identifying their Nen Type.

But that claim was not absolute.

Emitter-type Nen users were generally impatient and hot-tempered, yet Franklin was composed and steady. Within the Phantom Troupe, he had always acted as a peacemaker.

Whenever the Phantom Troupe encountered disagreements and arguments, Franklin could always mediate them with his calm and level-headed demeanor.

That steady temperament had, little by little, become woven into Franklin's fighting style.

Whether attacking or defending in battle, Franklin always deliberately left himself some room, so steady that he refused to give his enemies even the slightest opportunity.

So even though Light had gained a chance to attack under Moyu's cover, he ultimately failed to break through Franklin's defense. Instead, he fell into a disadvantageous and dangerous position.

Yet no matter how much room Franklin had left himself, he had never expected Moyu to kick him flying like that.

That brat did not understand the technique of "Ko," and there was still a slight margin in his efficiency with "Gyo" that allowed Franklin time to react.

Furthermore, Franklin's advantage in size and height had, to some extent, limited the areas that brat could choose to attack.

If that brat had used Ko even once, then even with the room Franklin had left himself, he would have been severely injured if not killed outright under those circumstances.

Even so, that kick had injured him badly. Fortunately, he had managed to deflect part of the damage in time, preventing himself from being knocked flat on the ground.
