On the way to the hotel, Light remained silent.
Moyu was happy to enjoy the peace and quiet. He closed his eyes to rest, quietly recovering what little Latent Aura he had left.
The Shadow Shift ability he had developed not long ago could certainly elevate his frontal combat capabilities by a whole level, but the accompanying issue of Latent Aura consumption could not be ignored.
In order to finish off Dis Mendico as quickly as possible, Moyu had not considered the consumption at the time and used Shadow Shift repeatedly.
As a result, although he had killed Dis within a few exchanges, he had expended far more Latent Aura than expected—and then Franklin had attacked him at precisely that moment.
Fortunately, Light had assisted him in battle, allowing them to drive Franklin back in one stroke with Moyu's Latent Aura nearly depleted.
Compared to fighting head-on, Moyu naturally preferred using Nen Clone tactics to ambush enemies to death. It saved time, effort, and Nen.
Illumi and Hisoka had already taught him that answer through personal experience.
But the same thing still held true—
Not every enemy he encountered in the future would give him time to prepare for battle, much less let him freely choose the location and timing.
Just like today, when Franklin's sudden attack had directly dragged him onto the arena of frontal combat.
"I need to think this through properly..."
Moyu slowly opened his eyes and gazed at the scenery beyond the car window.
Thinking back on everything he had experienced along the way, no matter how formidable an enemy he faced, he had always been able to secure victory with ease through the traits of his abilities and tactical arrangements.
That had instead caused him to overlook the importance of Latent Aura.
