Watching Ul's retreating figure, Singer's expression gradually twisted. Just as he raised his demon hand, preparing to take a shot at Ul, a flash of blade swept past—and Singer realized his demon hand was gone.

Singer was instantly stunned. Seeing the faintly amused look on Ul's face and the blade in his hand, Singer stumbled backward in fright.

"When did you figure it out?" Singer asked, his face darkening.

Ul blinked. "Figure what out?"

Singer: "???"

"Don't lie. If you hadn't noticed something was wrong with me, why would you have been on your guard?"

"Oh, you mean that? You're really overthinking it. I honestly didn't notice anything wrong with you. You're just so weak, and the malice you showed before attacking was so obvious that I couldn't have missed it!" Ul spread his hands, wearing an expression that said, I'd like to keep a low profile, but my strength won't let me.

Singer: "......"

"Why the hell—#¥%@......"

Singer felt as if he'd taken an arrow to the heart. He really wanted to curse.

Especially after seeing Ul's smug, obnoxious expression, he didn't just want to curse—he wanted to hit him, too!

Ul watched with interest as Singer's expression changed like a face in a Peking opera. Since Ul had cut off his arm, Singer had worn all kinds of expressions, but not once had he looked pained.

Is it because he's lost his sense of pain? Ul wondered.

By now, Ul had pieced together some of what was happening. Clearly, the Beast Apostle was conducting some sort of secret experiment here. The "useless trash" from earlier and Singer himself were both products of it.

The only thing Ul couldn't figure out was what role Singer played in all this.
