Background / History

The Primal Universe nurtures the life within it. Every lifeform carries trace fragments of the Life Origin Great Dao; Chen Yuan's system extracts these fragments through a causal connection after he kills a target, converting them into Kill Points 149.

Its complete laws distinguish it from Miniature Universes and the Initial Universe. Laws understood within a Miniature Universe can contain fundamental flaws, while breakthroughs such as becoming a Universe Venerable require returning to the Primal Universe so the Cosmic Origin can descend 293 297.

The universe is not sustained by a fixed, inexhaustible reserve of Origin Energy. It continuously absorbs external energy from the Universe Ocean, but its absorption rate has a limit. As lifeforms consume Origin Energy and mature, the universe eventually enters deficit; at its extreme, the Great Destruction resets all phenomena and begins a new Universe Reincarnation Era 356 379.

Architecture

The Primal Universe has a dynamic structure that changes continuously. Its complete form consists of the original universe and the Dark Universe: two intertwined sides of one whole, moving like a double-star spiral 516 517.

• Original universe — absorbs external chaotic energy and converts it into Origin Power. For a universe master, this Origin Power can be converted into divine power through the Heart of the True God 518.
• Dark Universe — contains space-time power identified as the Source of Space-Time, a shallow form of Great Dao power 518 519.
• Origin Land — the central region containing the universe's deepest authority and concealed structural information 405 516.
• Inhabited territory — only a little over 30% of the universe is occupied by life; the remaining space is largely dark void 379.

Origin Will

The Origin Will is the governing will of the Primal Universe. It controls the Cosmic Origin and ordinarily maintains the universe's laws, but it does not monitor every region with equal attention.

• The core of the Origin of the Universe is closely controlled, while its vast outer regions are patrolled periodically rather than watched continuously 406.
• It reacts when its rules are openly violated, such as when Chen Yuan's unregistered time-space authority caused resurrection costs to be shifted onto the universe 405.
• It can grant, mark, and reclaim authority from Universe Masters and True Gods; authority bestowed in this manner remains fundamentally under the universe's control 358 406.
• The Origin Will is described as lacking high intelligence and as likely possessing willpower comparable to a Chaos Master 405 406.
• It suppressed Original Ancestor after he attempted to seize possession of the Primal Universe before passing through reincarnation 530.

Universal Authority

The Primal Universe's authority governs law-based privileges such as time-space control and Word of Law Follows.

• Time-space authority — registered Universe Masters must pay the corresponding price when reversing time and space to resurrect others or retrieve objects from the past 358 389.
• Word of Law Follows — authority can alter universal limits, including the light-speed threshold. Chen Yuan's stolen authority allowed a substantially higher limit within the Primal Universe than an ordinary True God's version 406.
• Authority deprivation — because a True God's Word of Law Follows is bestowed by the Primal Universe, it can be stripped away by one who holds sufficient universal authority 406.
• Observation — partial control of the outer Origin granted Chen Yuan sight of locations concealed from the Virtual Universe, including the Primal Stars and Qi God Temple 406.

Cosmic Cycle

The universe's apparent energy conservation does not prevent its eventual destruction. Energy used within the universe can be converted back into pure energy while the Cosmic Origin remains intact, but lifeforms permanently draw upon Origin Energy as they grow 356.

• Mature lifeforms place increasing pressure on the universe's Origin Energy, eventually triggering the Great Destruction 356 379.
• During the Great Destruction, all life below the True God realm perishes and returns to the cycle 356.
• Unlike an ordinary Miniature Universe, the Primal Universe does not simply collapse when its origin is critically damaged. It begins the Great Destruction, restores its lost Origin, and restarts 518.

Life Origin Great Dao

Rejection of Foreign Great Dao Information

An unclaimed Primal Universe instinctively rejects objects and energies carrying alien Great Dao information.
