Background / History

Tang Ping initially abandoned martial-arts training because his physical-evolution aptitude was poor, despite being able to defeat stronger students through superior blade techniques and footwork. He briefly planned to pursue university studies and live an ordinary, unambitious life. 2

His circumstances changed when the Heaven Rewards Diligence System evolved. Rather than assigning tasks, it allowed him to bind talented individuals as “tools,” receive rewards from their diligence, and distribute shares of those rewards back to them. He began with his close friends Jiang Yang, Li Ze, Li Zhongyun, and Wang Zhizhong, then filled his early slots with diligent trainees at the Limit Martial Arts Hall. 3 4

Tang Ping deliberately favored his brothers with high reward ratios, helping them become Quasi-Martial Artists and later powerful cultivators. Even Zhang Liu, a former rival, was bound after Tang Ping judged him to be the most gifted advanced student available. 5
