Bai Sheng

Although Bai Yang was puzzled, he didn't linger. He hurried toward the dormitory.

His adrenal disorder syndrome had never even flared up; after his monster transformation, it had healed on its own without medication.

His strength had already reached an impressive level. Bai Sheng was nine years older than him, yet he was only an Advanced War General.

Though Bai Sheng had hopes of breaking through to become a War God, at the same age, he had been nowhere near as strong as Bai Yang was now.

A man and three women were standing outside the door. None of them had gone in.

They had seemed too disinterested to speak, but after hearing what Bai Yang had said, one of them suddenly laughed. "That's great. We've got another candidate."

The other two also seemed to take their first real look at Bai Yang, looking him up and down several times.

They brazenly scrutinized his handsome face, then his waist and hips, again and again.

The two of them suddenly exchanged a glance and burst out laughing.

They laughed so hard they trembled like flowers in the wind, leaning back and forth. Who knew what they had thought of that was so hilarious?

Bai Yang frowned slightly. What was the deal with these three women?

They looked at him with blatant contempt and arrogance. It was less like they were looking at a person and more like they were selecting merchandise from on high.

And their laughter was especially mocking. It was downright rude and aggressively provocative.

If he hadn't been considering Bai Sheng's feelings, he would have lost his temper already.

Brother Sheng was acting strangely, too. He was nothing like his usual bold, generous self.

Lately, Bai Yang had been able to get anything he wanted.

He had held the upper hand in every way. When had he ever had to put up with this sort of disrespect?

No matter their status or power, everyone who dealt with him was always polite.

Yet these three strangers dared to treat him with such contempt. His expression immediately darkened.

Bai Sheng knew him very well. He noticed at once that something was wrong and hurriedly said,

"Xiaoyang, it's complicated. I'll explain everything to you in private later. Please, don't get angry!"

Before Bai Yang could answer, the woman in the lead cut Bai Sheng off with a teasing laugh.

"What? He doesn't know yet? You've done a pretty good job of keeping this kid protected, huh? Hahahaha!"

Bai Sheng's face darkened, but for some reason, he seemed wary of them and didn't argue back.

Bai Yang was truly furious now!

The three women were certainly annoying, but Brother Sheng's cringing silence, refusing to say what was on his mind, made him even angrier.

Bai Yang didn't care what they thought. He piled on another insult.

Bai Sheng stared at him in shock, unable to believe his own cousin had said such a thing. Was this really Bai Yang?

The three women looked dazed. No one had ever dared talk back to them like this, not once in their entire lives!

For a moment, they didn't know what to say.

The woman in the lead was the first to recover. Her long hair seemed to bristle with anger as she shrieked, "How dare you!"

Her voice was shrill, piercing, and unpleasant, as if she were deliberately screaming.

Bai Yang hated that kind of noise. He couldn't hold back any longer and instinctively slapped at the woman across from him!

A coffee table stood between them, so there was no way Bai Yang could have reached her under ordinary circumstances.

But he moved like lightning. He struck without warning, the instant he decided to move.

As he rose to hit her, his knees straightened sharply, and his upper body seemed to spring into the air, crossing the distance in an instant.

He leaned far forward, yet his feet stayed firmly planted on the ground as if held there by magnets, keeping him perfectly steady.

An ordinary person could never have managed such a movement.

Smack! His palm landed squarely on the woman's face.

She was a Junior War General, yet she had no chance to defend herself. Before she even understood what was happening, she had been hit.

Bai Yang used a viciously targeted burst of force. The slap left her cheek swollen, dislocated her jaw, and silenced her completely.

The other two women reached out to claw at him, but he had already bent his knees and sat back down. Their hands swiped through empty air.

Bai Sheng had seen it clearly. Bai Yang's movements—the three successive motions, from start to finish—had been timed and executed with near-perfect precision.

He had wanted to stop Bai Yang, but everything had happened in a flash. He hadn't been able to find a single opening in Bai Yang's movements!

Could outsiders really get away with killing someone here?
