Background / History

Bai Yang transmigrated into the Swallowed Star world three years before June 2056. His original body was a minor figure who had once passed a preliminary martial artist assessment alongside Luo Feng, then disappeared from the story. At nineteen, Bai Yang was an elite-class freshman at Jiangnan First Military Academy, but his body suffered from a hidden genetic illness that threatened to end his martial path. 1

His Earth Defense System showed him a five-year future in which he failed Supervisor Geng’s test, missed his chance to reconnect with Luo Feng, was hospitalized in Kyoto, and ultimately died during the Golden Horned Behemoth crisis after Bai Sheng perished trying to save him. Determined to alter that future, Bai Yang used the system’s simulation reward to obtain Monster King Orochi’s abilities. 1

Orochi’s powers let him optimize his own genes by creating and consuming flesh masses from his body. The process cured his adrenal disorder syndrome, gave him abnormal physical growth, and began his controlled monsterization. 2 12
