Background

Huotian first appears as an unnamed peerless heavenly maiden within an ancient land. Zhou Heng teaches her human speech, which she masters within three days. When asked to name herself, she chooses “Huotian,” triggering thunder, lightning, and a tremor across heaven and earth. She states that she came from the void and has neither father nor mother. 323

She demonstrates an innate connection to the ancient land by shrinking its immense mother tree and absorbing it into her body, leaving behind a pink light gate beneath the lake. Even cultivators who have formed Deities are nearly overwhelmed by her appearance and instinctively wish to serve her. 323

Her cultivation and consciousness recover at an abnormal pace. Her absorption of spiritual energy produces Spirit Cores as byproducts and destabilizes the surrounding environment badly enough to cause a volcanic eruption. 326 Later, a Peach Blossom Deity forms around her body and she awakens in the Divine Infant Realm. Zhou Heng discovers that each of her 206 bones bears an incomprehensible rune. 365

Fragments of her memories establish a connection between her and the Black Sword's former owner. She therefore recognizes Zhou Heng, the sword's inheritor, as her junior brother. 366 Rong Jianlong later identifies her as the fallen Sovereign known as Peach Blossom, realizing that she had apparently reincarnated into the Mortal World. 471
