Background

In her former life, Bai Fu was known as Afra, a ruler who destroyed another civilization in pursuit of revenge. A Deity observing that civilization recruited her as a Vassal and granted her authority instead of punishing her. She carried out the Deity's often destructive commands, becoming increasingly powerful while remaining unwilling to submit permanently to another's control. 553

Bai Fu eventually discovered that the authority bestowed by her master was cursed: it eroded a Vassal's emotions and gradually turned them into a puppet. She gathered other Demigods and attempted to assassinate her Deity, but the rebellion failed, forcing her to flee into the Apocalyptic Cataclysm's starry sky. 553

Following the loss of much of her memory and power, Bai Fu rebuilt herself from a mortal body through the Transcendent stages. Each advancement restored key memories, leading her to investigate her former Demigod Authority and the nature of the curse attached to it. 310 354
