Background / History

Tang San is Tang Hao's son and possesses Innate Full Soul Power. Tang Hao states that Tang San has Twin Martial Souls and believes his son has the potential to surpass him. He also intends for Tang San to eventually destroy Martial Soul Hall in vengeance for Ah Yin. 4

At Nuoding Academy, Tang San becomes Yu Xiaogang's student and accompanies him to the Soul Hunting Forest to obtain his first soul ring. He successfully absorbs the 400-year Datura Snake soul ring and formally thanks Yu Xiaogang for his guidance. 2 4

Tang San later develops a close bond with Xiao Wu. He tries to protect her during Jiang Ming's confrontation with the two of them, attacking with Blue Silver Grass after Jiang Ming strikes her. 7

Tang San later learns that Tang Hao is the Clear Sky Douluo, a direct descendant of the Clear Sky Sect and the younger brother of sect master Tang Xiao. He is reunited with Tang Hao at Moonlight Pavilion and also meets his aunt, Tang Yuehua. 182 184 185

Jiang Ming reveals that Tang San's mother was Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor in human form. This makes Tang San of mixed human and Soul Beast heritage and explains the exceptional vitality and true nature of his first martial soul. 182 189

Personality

Tang San is devoted to Yu Xiaogang and consistently defends or supports his teacher, even when disagreeing with him. After Yu Xiaogang is grievously injured, Tang San comforts him by framing his suffering as a trial that should strengthen his resolve. 87

He is cautious and analytical in dangerous situations, initially avoiding a rash response when he and Xiao Wu encounter Jiang Ming after the City Lord's Mansion massacre. 52 However, he is also highly driven by pride, revenge, and the pursuit of strength. Jiang Ming's repeated humiliations intensify Tang San's desire to destroy him. 8 142

Tang San is willing to accept major risks for advancement. He insists on attempting to absorb the Man Faced Demon Spider's ring despite Yu Xiaogang's objections and the danger posed by its age. 112 113

His ambition persists even after the near-fatal backlash from cultivating both martial souls. Rather than abandon his pursuit of strength, he resolves to cultivate the Clear Sky Hammer with increasingly high-level soul rings so that he can kill Jiang Ming. 176 177 190

Tang San is highly protective of his secrets and responds to their exposure with intense hostility. When Jiang Ming publicly reveals details of his prior life, Tang San denies the claims to his companions while internally resolving to eliminate Jiang Ming. 142

Tang Sect Toxicology
