Although Sakura Airi had built up some popularity online, she was only an independent idol. She had not turned her fame into tangible works or honors, nor did she have any means of monetizing her fanbase.
If she could graduate as a member of Class A, with the school backing her, Sakura Airi could enter one of the best agencies and gain access to more valuable resources and platforms. Her path as an idol would be far smoother afterward.
However, having Sakura Airi graduate from Class A was basically a pipe dream, because Shiraishi Makoto could not come up with that many points, nor could he possibly give up his own position in Class A.
Other than using personal points, they could only hope that additional "transfer tickets" would be issued later. But Sakura Airi had no competitiveness in any kind of exam, either.
